Learning From Movies - Miss Sloane

If you know me, you know that I like to watch a good movie and I always like to learn something from them... This evening I was watching the movie Miss Sloan from 2016, with Jessica Chastain and Mark Strong in the main roles. Usually, I don't pick movies and watch, I'm just changing channels on TV until I see something interesting... :)

Firstly, I'm not a raving fan of Jessica, but I have to admit that she has done a great job in this movie. On the other side, I like Mark Strong and I have watched the majority of his movies. Now, get to the point...

I will not go inside the story about lobbying, filthy politicians, greedy people, etc... Because, I'm already there and that was the main point of the movie... This would be a perfect time for a quote by the man who described that from a first-person look:

Of mankind we may say in general they are fickle, hypocritical, and greedy of gain. ― Niccolò Machiavelli

But, let's try to find a "bright" side of the movie... In the movie, Miss Sloan describes different "tactics" for gaining an advantage in the game of lobbying, which can be perfectly copied in our affiliate marketing life... I don't mean to threats, blackmailing and other things... :)

For example, Miss Sloane when one of her co-workers doesn't know an answer to her question, she is telling a story about the priest and a nun... The moral of the story was to know your job, or to know all about the things that you are doing, what is your concern...

That is exactly the stuff that @jongolson and @blainjones are preaching in their webinars... You have to be an EXPERT in what are you doing... And when you reach that level, others will come to you to ask a question, and to follow your lead... Or, to follow you in your aff. programs, or whatever you try to sell...

There were other good stuff in the movie, especially in the first part of the movie, but I don't want to go too deep and make spoilers... :)

It's all about the strategy... How you influence the world and how you bring them closer to you and your point of view...
