The sudden breakout on gold prices several times this past week has vindicated my decision to have a gold saving account last year. This enabled me to accumulate gold little amount each month. The saying “ Do not put all the eggs in one basket” reminded me to at least have a bit of gold bullion, some silver bars including some crypto currencies: Bitcoins and Litecoins. This investment is a very small amount comparing with others as I have to depend on my part-time jobs to accumulate my wealth.

I have been urging my close friends and families to buy some gold during the past three years. But the manipulation in gold prices has really dampened people’s willingness to invest in gold bars. I did manage to get some PAMP silver bars a few years ago when the gold shop stocked up a limited supply. Silver is not considered as an investment option in Thailand so the only kind of silver that I could get had to come from those suppliers of silver pellets for making silver jewelry.

I have been consistently following news and reviews on global economics and political issues. These are some useful links which may be of some interest. I think it is important to learn about what would affect our life and future security. Knowledge is power; so I try to get as much relevant knowledge as possible so that I would be able to avoid the impact of future financial troubles.

สัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา ราคาทองคำแท่งขึ้นมาประมาณ หนึ่งพันบาท และท่าทางราคาจะมีแนวโน้มสูงขึ้นไปได้อีก เราคอยบอกเพื่อนและญาติๆให้ซื้อ ทองคำแท่งเก็บสะสมมาได้สองสามปีแล้ว แต่คนส่วนใหญ่ไม่กล้าลงทุนในทองคำแท่ง เพราะการบืดเบือนราคาทองคำ ทำให้คนไม่มีความมั่นใจว่าจะคุ้มค่า แต่้ราคอยตามอ่านข่าว และบทวิเคราะห์เกี่ยวกับ สภาวะเศรษฐกิจ และการเมืองในต่างประเทศ ทำให้เราคาดคะเนได้ว่า ใครไม่มีทองคำแท่ง หรือ เหรียญเงินกับเงินแท่ง และเงินคริปโตบ้าง ในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้ก็คงจะต้องลำบากกว่าคนที่มีการเตรียมตัว วางแผนเผื่อสำหรับเวลามีวิกฤตแบบไม่ทันตั้งตัว
