Sneak peak of new site for @challengedac by @ratzen

New Things we will also deliver

  • API
  • Steem Bot
  • Twitter Bot
  • Discord bot
  • Telegram bot

The bots will use challenge api to take challenge data post them and show a little map in a comment, post, and it will be so cute :D 🔥 🗺️ 📍

This site finally does challengedac justice. We can now allow the https://challengedapp.io solely about the APP and the DAc site be for the DAC. We will soon have methods to integrate challenge more cleanly into steem with @challengedac account posting every challenge made from the app onto the steem blockchain in a post! AND this will also happen on Twitter with twitter posts made showing nice maps of a challenge, perhaps even using twitter gps features.

Speaking of GPS @picokernal was working for XYO, he went from steemit inc to XYO a san diego location gps company, and well I wonder how challenge could benefit from a system to allow users to verify each others location on chain to avoid GPS spoofing, the XYO system wanted a network of bluetooth location trackers that let you location mine but uses eth and should use EOSIO :) We should really look into XYO and other EOS location based systems

According to Platin, PoL is a lightweight, secure, and transparent protocol that makes it easy to verify a location claim. The protocol has many use cases in fields such as address verification, KYC, humanitarian aid, and others. The PoL protocol trumps traditional geolocation tools like GPS in that it cannot be tampered with or used to attack other’s GPS devices to fake their geographical location. Further, the GPS system dwarfs in comparison with the PoL protocol when it comes to accurate detection of a location and power consumption. Not to mention other fallacies of GPS like a high-degree of centralization, non-encrypted systems, and the absence of proof-of-origin. Another upside of Platin’s protocol is that it is GDPR compliant. This means that unlike large data companies like Facebook, Google, and Amazon, Platin’s blockchain gives the power to share location back to the users. PoL protocol ensures that only users have control over whom to share their location with. Dan Larimer, CTO at Block.one said: “Proof-of-Location is an important technology and an integral component of the blockchain infrastructure of the future. We are thrilled that Platin and its one-of-a-kind protocol is joining the EOSIO ecosystem.”

Thanks to @happymoneyman Brandon whose telos podcast i mentioned CHallenge on, for suggesting I look into Platin. I believe @chaceeskam from @challengedac has already been looking into all of this and I believe he will be able to explain just why we wont need them or, maybe how we could use POL, or if challenge users could prove each others locations :D
