You mentioning SEO is another massive benefit to this thumbnail thing. Thanks for bringing that up. I’m lucky that I’ve been in a habit of naming my files accordingly, so that’s a lot better in terms of SEO instead of something like JPEG-128 or whatever the file is normally named.

Just don't forget to also include 'alt text' for all of your images.

File names don't matter as much as the alt text.

Always ensure you're putting a full sentence featuring the keyword you're targeting in the [] brackets like this:

I would love to see our most popular trending content all with clean thumbnails and making Hive that much more of serious competitor to all of these other social media apps. I think once people start seeing top earners really working to stand out with their thumbnail designs, it will encourage other users to increase their quality just to keep up with the pace. That will make everything better for all involved.

I 100% agree.

There's also an onus on those of us with stake to ensure we're incentivising the behaviour we want to see.

Large curators need to stop rewarding low quality, throw away content that doesn't put effort into the important details like thumbnails.

If creators stop making money, they will change their behaviour quick smart.
