I am thankful for...

I JUST HAVE to do this for the weekly #powerhousecreatives contest this week. I was overwhelmed with the heart of gratitude the recent Sunday and was inspired to create a post of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was just around the corner, and the timing couldn't have been better. Then, today I came upon the newly written post by @jaynie, The email that changed my life!.

If you have not read what the post is all about, please do so because it is nothing but an inspiration for this week's PHC contest. Though a simple one, I hope that you guys can actually think through and write your hearts out for this one. Who knows, you may have realized that life isn't so bad after all in 2019. Be blessed as you pen down your entries.

Contest entries no less than 350 words. (If you're writing a story)
You may use photos/illustrations to share your story.
Think of a nice title for your entry post.
Remember to credit all photos used.

I would guess that it’s incredibly hard to feel thankful if we’ve literally gotten every single material thing we’ve ever wanted handed to us our whole lives. Living in such an environment, why would we feel thankful for anything; unless we’d experienced having a need that was out of our reach before we became wealthy?

Thanksgiving should be everyday; not just one day and dictated by a President that is long gone from this world. We don't need to be told that we should be thankful or grateful for what we have today and now. If we're to be told, then there is no meaning to the word Thanksgiving. Which also reminds me as to why we have turkey on the table during Thanksgiving dinner? Different country = different culture ?

Merry Christmas my friends, today begins the month of December and I'm very happy, one Christmas more or one Christmas less, everything depends from the point of view that you look at it.
We can be thankful for the good things that happen to us; I believe that feelings are an essential part that fills our spirit and gives us faith and hope to move forward. The love for our family, for our children, friends, neighbors are a fuel that fills you with energy day by day to move forward.

Today I walked out into the back garden and immediately saw a black cat that looked just like the one that comes into the garden from somewhere each day.
I like the black cat; we’re becoming acquainted. It used to run away from me when it saw me, but now it doesn’t, and just sits there and watches me. It is learning not to be afraid, but is still cautious.

At one point it was hard for me to come up with something I was grateful for. During that time even breathing was painful and waking up was another day of torment.
Things have greatly changed and that I am thankful for. Since I have been on my journey I have learned the importance of being grateful for even the smallest of things.

I found this a wonderful opportunity to give pause and reflect back on the year, giving thanks for the many things presented to me in 2019!
One big thing that I'm very grateful for, as it had been weighing on my mind with a change in teachers, is that the new teacher that I work with in Pre-k, loves the kids, is enthusiastic and dedicated to providing a safe and secure place, providing many opportunities, opening doors, for the children to grow to their greatest potential!

Thanksgiving is easy when what you've set out to do, you've done it. Grateful to God that has allowed me to be alive and healthy to see my grandson grow and continue to share with my family. I give thanks for the good and bad times, we cry and laugh. Venezuelans are full of hope for a new year. Bad experiences are just learning. At 54, I'm still learning. I thank life for the people I have met on this platform, I respect and esteem them. We cannot live for hatred and banalities. Let us put our hearts into living.

2019 seems good to me. This is the year that I finished my studies, this is the year that it gives me more knowledge about steem. I meet new people and new discord server because of @steemterminal community. By joining in a different community it gives me knowledge that I can use here in steem. Not just me but also people who were there motivates me to keep on writing. Also, the people who are always giving me confidence. Most of those people can be found on steem terminal. I'm so thankful for the people who are there, they're too many but I can mentioned few them. Pardon me for doing that. @brittandjosie, @kittygirl, @xcountrytravelers by ren and @wesphilbin. Those people are always there to help you, trust me.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and I'm ready for the festivities! No doubt my favourite holiday of the year because getting into the new year is always exciting and full of newness. I'm thankful to be able to read all your gratitude of this year and your reflections on life. Being able to give it a thought is just what makes each of us human.
