Quarantine Diaries: Day 190
Something very strange happened today. I went out shopping with a list of eleven things to buy, and was able to find all eleven at the first store I went to. I don’t think that I’ve done that for at least five months. I’ve had to try several different stores for the chance to find X in stock at one of them or simply accept that X wasn’t available anywhere.
Is this a sign that supply chains are mending or simply the calm before the storm?
Coronavirus News, Analysis, Opinion, et cetera:
Chinese virologist who claimed coronavirus was created in a lab and fled to US has been suspended by Twitter. I was a liberal arts major and am not remotely qualified to judge the quality of the research paper that got Dr. Yan banned from Twitter, but if you happen to have such skills, the paper is available here. Edit: File this one under “Guilt By Association” if you will but Yan has ties to Steve Bannon.
