The CTP Token IPN....Is Ready For 'Pre-Launch'
Urgh I hate that term....
'Pre-launch'
I used to laugh at companies in the marketing world that would use it to help hype up for a new website launch. It was always 'get in now and don't miss out' and as a new marketer you were drawn to anything with this tagline attached to it...
'We're in pre-launch...!'
To me, you were either launched or not launched...But I got the marketing hype...
And look at me now...Actually saying the CTP Token's IPN is in 'pre-launch'...I'm such a marketer lol
O.K., so all joking aside here's the scoop....
That's a tweet with a screen shot we shared recently...
And yup, we're ready to get businesses onboard using our brand new IPN system for the CTP Token.
Well....It's much more than that, but this is the realization of a dream I had when I first joined Steem....
STORY TIME!!!
If you've read any of my 'history' you'll know my business, life and entire career was abruptly changed in the blink of an eye around 2 years ago...
That's when PayPal (in all their wisdom) decided that after 17 years of being in business with me and allowing me to use them as my payment processor, would shut me down. Account canceled. No reason, no recourse, no explanation...
Anyone in affiliate marketing will share similar stories as PayPal seemed to go on the attack...And I was left with almost nothing after they took my business away.
Boo hoo! Cry me a river...Life sucks, keep moving!!!!
A blessing in disguise...
It allowed me to discover Steem...But more importantly put it in my mind, an idea...
That affiliate marketing needed a MUCH better payment solution and that came in the form of cryptocurrency!
No PayPal overloads!
No one to shut any accounts down...
We could have direct business to consumer transactions!
And after I read the SMT white paper and the Steem white paper...I knew the solution was here on this blockchain.
Fast forward to a few months ago, and thanks to the amazing team at Steem-Engine, tribes have begun to flourish and more importantly allowed entrepreneurs to leverage the power of the blockchain for their businesses...
But what about the affiliate marketers?
Affiliate program owners needed a solution to allow for easy acceptance of crypto currency and help educate their members on why crypto should be their preferred choice of receiving and sending payments.
My mission was clear, and it birthed projects like BitcoinBully.io, @SteemSavvy and CTPtalk.com - Home of the CTP Token!
And this week we came full circle with our mission...
We've developed a go between for affiliate program owners to leverage multiple payment solutions...
They can not only link their Stripe accounts to allow for easy credit cards payments (remember, affiliate program owners are not always the programming type...And Stripe takes a lot of know how)...But the big news is the ability for them to receive instant payment notifications when a customer sends them CTP Tokens.
Yup, CTP Tokens can now be used to buy ANYTHING online using our IPN script.
And CTP Token is just the first option too...We're going to test this out and see what the reception is like because we think it's just scratching the surface of what can become a fantastic partnership for years to come...
Affiliate marketing and the Steem blockchain!
This is just 'pre-launch' after all, but we've already lined up a half a dozen program owners ready to implement this script over the next few days...I'll follow up with another post and highlight our amazing launch partners and their websites soon.
