Investing in dCity - Why you need to VOTE for the President of dcity

So the first president has been selected by those that took the time to vote. The result is a staggering 50% tax. In the presidents rally it looked like @ecoininstant was going to win the presidency, by he lost to @abrockmann.

Very clearly the current president has the aim to reduce SIM income as much as possible. The only tax option that is not used currently is the 1% police tax, that reduces crime. So lot’s of people are getting robbed for their banks and shopping malls. So the actual SIM income reduction could be more than 50% for the average player.

A president will only have a period of 14 days, so in 13 days a new president will be chosen. The most popular candidate so far has promised to lower taxes and he needs our votes. So go to the city tab and then to the Government tab where you will find this screen:

Here you will see the candidates that you can vote on. You can become a candidate yourself for only 300 SIM. You simply vote for a candidate by clicking the vote button. If they have a blog written about their plans, then you can find that under the little paperclip next to their name.

Do check this page on the last day before the election, because new candidates might arrive with very big votes. That was the case for the current president too.

Remember, if you didn’t vote, then you have cannot complain about the outcome!

But there is more that you can do and many people have realized this. If you get a Military Industrial Complex, then you will get a share in the profits from the War Tax. Lot’s of people have realized this though. Yesterday my Military Industrial Complex made me 110 SIM income, but today that has dropped to 79 SIM.

That is because Military Industrial Comlexes have been bought of the market and were activated. You can still buy some, but it will cost you at least 33,5 Hive to get one.

There is another card that will help you. The Law firm. This will reduce your taxes by 10%. You can have only one, but it is really a no-brainer to get one. You can get one for about 10 Hive.
