What Does Decentralization Mean To Me

@theycallmedan made an initiative "Blockchain & Decentralization & if/why it's important to you" but maybe i could just add my observation on how @justinsunsteemit looks at decentralisation.

Yesterday there were some talks with new Roy, David (new tron representative) and you can check it out here (https://steempeak.com/hive-100421/@r0nd0n/zcwrjmba he joined around timestamp 1:36:00). And after some ok talks, today we get new development on how Justin looks at decentralisation.

Steem witnesses, active people, and big stakeholders were blocked on Twitter by Justin Sun. And for me that shows how he looks on decentralisation. Is there a threat that he will do this on steem if he has a deciding vote? Should one man be able to do that and still call it decentralised?

To add my noob take on this. I could talk about how decentralisation is important for freedom of speech, no one being able to censor you... but my take on it (and how i understand it) and it is simple, any blockchain that is not decentralised is just a simple database controlled by one man. That one man can change it, roll it back, stop it, do whatever he wants, and then it just loses the point of a public blockchain.

I could be wrong, i am a noob in all of this, i am not a programer, nor expert on blockchains. I am just a hobby photographer/videographer and i like to share my work on steem. So feel free to tell me i am wrong and if you do, tell me why am i wrong. We learn something new every day.
