Corona-Shutdown Tag 8 in Österreich: HIVE ist das neue STEEM, 38 Milliarden Hilfspaket für die Wirtschaft, wer profitiert von der Krise?
Heute ein bisschen besser geschlafen, noch nicht gut, aber besser :) Sonst ok, gewöhne mich langsam an die neue Situation. Ruhe auf den Straßen, alles ruhiger wie an einem Sonntag, Menschen gehen allein oder zu zweit spazieren. Dystopisch, wie in Black Mirror.
Lebensmittelgeschäfte diese Woche nach den Hamster-Käufen fast ohne Kunden. Stimmung bei manchen Mitarbeitern nicht so gut, da wenig zu tun ist oder mehr wegen den Hamster-Käufen.
Habe die letzten Tage so viel online gechattet und telefoniert wie schon lange nicht mehr. Es gibt ein bisschen mehr soziale (virtuelle) Nähe, was es 2008 nicht gab, da die Krise mehr die Finanzbranche traf. Das ist schön, aber befürchte, dass die neue Solidarität nach der Krise schnell wieder vorbei ist.
Auch wenn jetzt alles sehr düster aussieht und viele Menschen gerade ihren Job verlieren oder in Kurzarbeit geschickt werden, die Wirtschaft wird zurückkommen, die Jobs sind nicht unbedingt verloren. Die Regierung hat heute ein 38 (!) Milliarden Hilfspaket angekündigt (Kredite, Steuerstundungen, aber auch Subventionen), um die heruntergefahrene Wirtschaft am Leben zu halten.
Bedenkt auch, es ist nicht die gesamte Wirtschaft heruntergefahren worden. Große Teile aber nicht alles. Das Internet gehört mittlerweile zur kritischen Infrastruktur, auch wenn es Politiker noch nicht so offen aussprechen (Neuland). Streaming, Webseiten aber auch Online-Shops sind weiterhin online und natürlich auch Krypto, Bitcoin und Blockchains arbeiten rund um die Uhr 24/7 weiter, auch wenn sonst alles heruntergefahren wird. Das Geld ist nicht weg, sondern die Geldmenge wird wegen der Krise massiv inflationiert (38 Milliarden alleine in Österreich).
Online-Shops versenden bereits Erinnerungs-E-Mails, dass man trotz Shutdown online weiter shoppen kann 😂
Viele Jobs können durch die Digitalisierung bereits von zu Hause erledigt werden und beziehen weiterhin ihr normales Gehalt. Digitalisierung wird beschleunigt! Bargeld ist unnötig, kontaktloses Zahlen und Krypto ist das neue Geld des 21. Jahrhunderts.
Zu den Profiteuren der Krise zählen neben Spekulanten der Lebensmittelhandel, Pharma, kritische Infrastruktur, Telco/Internet-Provider, Amazon und Netflix, Game Publisher und deren Zulieferer und Supply Chains.
Trotzdem kann man so einen globalen Shutdown nicht lange durchhalten, das ist unmöglich und ist jedem klar, das Leben muss weitergehen, egal was passiert.
Aus STEEM wird am Freitag HIVE werden. Die Steem-Witnesses (Block Producers) arbeiten nach der feindliche Übernahme von JS/Tron rund um die Uhr (trotz Krise!) an einem Relaunch (Fork) der Steem Blockchain und seit gestern gibt es einen offiziellen Namen (HIVE) und die Chain startet bereits am Freitag. Bin schon sehr gespannt, wie es sich entwickelt, werde das Projekt unterstützen.
Bin gerade sehr froh, dass wir ein zensur-resistentes Blockchain-basierte Medium haben (STEEM/HIVE). Das ist in Zeiten einer Krise viel wert, sag ich euch.

Slept a bit better today, not well yet, but better :) Otherwise ok, slowly getting used to the new situation. Quiet streets, even more so than on a regular Sunday, people walking alone or in pairs. Dystopia, like in Black Mirror.
Grocery stores almost without customers this week after the panic buying last week. Mood of some employees not so good, because there is little to do or more because of the panic buying.
I have chatted and phoned more online the last few days than I have done in a long time. There is a bit more social (virtual) closeness, which was not there in 2008, as the great financial crisis of 2008 hit the financial sector more than the real economy. That's nice, but fear that the new solidarity after the crisis is quickly gone again.
Even if everything looks very bleak now and many people are just losing their jobs or have reduced working hours, the economy will come back, the jobs are not necessarily lost. The government today announced a 38 (!) billion aid package (loans, tax deferrals, but also subsidies) to keep the shutdowned economy alive.
Remember also, not the whole economy has been shut down. Large parts but not everything. The Internet is now part of the critical infrastructure, even if politicians are not yet so open about it ("Neuland"). Streaming, websites but also online shops are still online and of course crypto, Bitcoin and blockchains are working 24/7, even if everything else is shut down. The money is not gone, but the fiat money supply is massively inflated because of the crisis (38 billion in Austria alone).
Online shops are already sending reminder e-mails that you can continue shopping online despite the shutdown 😂
Many jobs can already be done from home due to digitization and continue to receive their normal salary. Digitization is accelerated! Cash is unnecessary any more, contactless payment and crypto is the new money of the 21st century.
Among the beneficiaries of the crisis are speculators, food retailers, pharmaceuticals, critical infrastructure, telco/internet providers, Amazon and Netflix, game publishers and their suppliers and supply chains.
Nevertheless, such a global shutdown cannot be sustained for long, it is impossible and it is clear to everyone that life must go on, no matter what.
STEEM will become HIVE on Friday. The Steem-Witnesses (Block Producers) are working around the clock (despite the crisis!) after the hostile takeover of JS/Tron on a relaunch (fork) of the Steem Blockchain and since yesterday there is an official name (HIVE) and the chain starts already on Friday. I am very curious to see how it will develop, I will support the project.
I'm just very happy that we have a censorship-resistant blockchain-based medium (STEEM/HIVE). This is worth a lot in times of a crisis, I tell you.
