Today I look at how the U.K. governmental and monetary authorities have been carrying out a covert policy of currency debasement in order to lumber the debt burden on the general public. Currency debasement is basically the policy of inflating away the government's debts.

I also note that the U.K. is not the only country doing this and that this policy is occurring everywhere around the world. What this policy will mean for the general public is the stealth confiscation of their savings in national currencies and the deterioration in the standard of living resulting from a general rise in the price level.

My conclusion is that even though the debt burden exploded since the 2008 Crisis we should expect to continue to see an even bigger increase in the debt burden resulting from the current crisis we are experiencing in 2020.

Even though the dollar has been a good store of value in relation to the British pound since the 2008 Crisis I show how gold has been even better.
