In this report, I cover the early market action from London on Monday, December 2nd, 2019. I look briefly at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar, the bond market and the price of WTI and Brent crude oil.
Today I will look at how inflation will impact one's savings over time and how during the 19th-century one's savings was safe from the ravages of inflation as back then gold was money.
My conclusion for the day is that the stock market is a speculative place to park one's savings but that people have been forced into it as the fiat currency provides savers with no protection against the rampant inflation that occurs under such a monetary system.
