Today I look at how we could be at a critical juncture for the financial system as all the monetary and fiscal stimuli announced of late by central banks and governments are failing to revive financial markets.

Notably today we are not only seeing the stock markets go limit down but he supposed risk-free government bond prices drop in unison. Bond yields, of course, are inversely spiking as prices are dropping.

My conclusion for the day is that we are getting ever closer to what Jim Rickards calls the Ice-Nine moment in which all financial markets are shut down.
