Hi,

today, my wife was out with the kid and I was home alone doing chores like cleaning and laundry. When I do this, I usually turn youtube on and let it play in the background, mostly for music. Sometimes some interesting videos pops up as it was the case today.

It was a video by Ray Dalio. Ray Dalio is one of the selfmade billionaires out there, which also share a lot of wisdom. He also signed the pledge to donate at least half of his worth during his lifetime.

But let's go to the video:

It is one of the best videos on economics that I was able to see. Okay, it is not deep, but explains all that is needed to understand it and how the economy nowadays works, no more, no less.

Where are we at the moment? I think we are in a inflationary state of being, as the crisis will hit in the next few months.

Will we have a lost decade? Maybe, even if I think that a lost decade is better than war.

There are some personal takes for anyone of us from the video:

  • don't let debt raise faster than your income, especially on things that don't produce anything
  • don't have income increase faster than productivity
  • increase your productivity

This pieces of advice are common sense, but most forget about them.

Enjoy!
