This is painful to type out... not because I've continued my bad form, but because I've lost to @the-real-betman in such a fashion that he won't let me live it down for a while. What went wrong? Here's a hint:

Arsenal 2 - 1 Burnley

Close, but no cigar. Arsenal did won but they failed to cover the handicap. On the other hand, Burnley showed that they'll be a dangerous side this season. Not to be underestimated.

Everton 1 - 0 Watford

Everton continues to struggle with scoring. They won, but not in a way I predicted.

Brighton 1 - 1 West Ham

West Ham surprised us all and got a point from this match.

Norwich 3 - 1 Newcastle

This one I called correctly. Norwich were up to the task and got a nice win.

Aston Villa 1 - 2 Bournemouth

The hosts gifted to the visitors two easy goals early on and then chased the result the rest of the game. They did play well, but when you make such stupid mistakes inside the first 15 minutes of the match you can't expect to do well.

Southampton 1 - 2 Liverpool

Southampton did impress me in this match. They played very well, but I did read this game correctly and yet lost the bet. How so? The Liverpool's goalkeeper was impressed by the home side's performance, too, and being a generous lad decided to gift them a goal. What a plonker!

Manchester City 2 - 2 Tottenham

Impressive Spurs against a so so Manchester City. Didn't see this one coming.

Sheffield United 1 - 0 Crystal Palace

The first win for the home team and the signs of a very long and frustrating season for the visitors.

Chelsea 1 - 1 Leicester

A very impressive Leicester against Chelsea that can play for about 20 minutes before running out of gas

Wolves 1 - 1 Manchester United

Wolves made a mistake by starting defensively. You don't do that against this Man United. All they needed was one mistake, one small opening and Martial scored. A much better performance (by both sides) in the 2nd half and a rather entertaining game.
