Since we accidentally started our buns cake (very) small business a few weeks ago (from the time of this post is written), we had tried different filling for the buns. We had already made mung bean filling, brown sugar, mocha, and chocolate. The latest one that we just started making is the peanut jam or peanut filling.

To prepare the peanut jam, we roasted half a kilo of peanuts. We used a wok to roast them just like when roasting coffee beans. Stirring the peanuts all the time is a must or they will be burnt.

Next, we put the roasted peanuts in a pestle and mortar. My job was to grind the peanuts. It took me 25 minutes to keep punching the peanuts to make them all broken into smaller pieces. You don't have to do it this way if you had an electric grinder. I wish we had one ๐Ÿ˜….

When they were all become softer, we put them back to the wok. The wok was already filled with water and sugar. Please see the next photos.

We mixed the peanuts with sugar and water on the wok while cooking it on a small fire for about 5 minutes. Then it's ready to use for filling the bun.

The next step is to fill the buns with the peanut jam. The rest of the steps are similar to what I have shared before in Trying to Make Meat Buns and Another Day of Making Meat Buns. In the end, we packaged the buns and ready to sell them in the market.

PS. If you would like to buy our buns, it's 0.33 Hive per piece. Yup, we accept Hive for payment. ๐Ÿ˜€
