My Response: Hive Naija Weekly Prompts

Hi everyone, today I will be sharing my challenging experiences on the #hive #blockchain with the world and I will also be sharing the possible ways I think can help other potential #hivers would love to join the #blockchain.

Onboarding the #hive #blockchain already was enough challenge for me as someone who was just hearing about this #blockchain for the first time without adequate knowledge of how to engage the platform. With so much passion on how to change my financial fortune, I onboarded the blockchain officially on the 21st of July 2020 with totally no understanding whatsoever as to how the platform works. This makes me barely a months old on this #blockchain.

My life Experience off Hive Life only response to us according to the level of knowledge we possess as regarding how to engage life. As an events planner and decorator, I have had much financial openings as touching my field and serious progress was recorded until the outbreak of Covid’19.

The Covid’19 ‘insurgency’ came as a serious tornado on the world, stretching it cruel hands of destruction and obstruction on every aspect of existence. There is no gainsaying in the fact that the COVID pandemic had impacted on the pockets of almost - if not - everyone. In my country here in Nigeria, many people had lost their means of livelihood due to the lockdown and there have been zero palliatives from the government. Instead, the government has been introducing spurious taxes and compounding the economic woes of her citizens. Firms and establishment that went out of the way to supporting the government monetarily in combating against this plague ended up terminating their business deal with their staffs.

Up on till now, I still haven’t had a contract to manage an events even after the lockdown. If God wasn’t by me and off course some Godly friends around, I would have ended up as a thief because of the cruelty of the Covid’19. To be sincere I have since lived in freedom after I onboarded #hive #blockchain. I will make haste to make sure that I help my good people onboard this wealthy blockchain.

My Challenges on #hive

I sincerely had enormous problem trying to log on to my #hive account for the first time on my own and the challenge came because I didn’t know my keys and permissions. I never knew what each key stood for and where each key should be used. They were a major challenge. I felt almost frustrated when I tried login on to my account for the first time, I tried almost all my keys and I was still told incorrect.
You sabi that kind thing say you wan do somtin urgently but som minor minor things dem go come stop you. It is almost like your family people are after you. Well sha after that initial gra gra with knowing my keys and when to use them, E take time to learn how to use and where to use each keys sha.

Challenges will always move from one level to the other as far as advancement is concerned. Next on my list of challenge engaging this block came when I was about to make my first publication. My knowledge of #hive as a social #blockchain soon ensnared me, primary anyone on hearing social would first of all think of facebook and my case wasn’t a different one. I thought it was just like facebook and tried engaging it as though I was engaging my facebook account.

Totally unaware of the fact that of #hive runs a community based engagement system, I made a post to no community precisely and after few day I notice that I had not had any upvote to that particular post, I became worried and at this point. Now if you were told of the wonders and magic that happens on this platform like I was, one could easily get frustrated that after making few publications without an upvote. If you don get this kind experience before, you go sabi weting me dey reason you now.

Again I had a hard time distinguishing the differences in the reward on #hive. It took quite sometimes to finally know that there are different forms to which the rewards comes. Since #hive is a blockchain, it has its own token or coin given to people for engaging the blockchain and that token is called HIVE this Hive token as splited into two the first is called Hive power (HP) and the other is called Hive dollar (HBD). Hive power (HP) is your stake on the blockchain that allows you authority to engage the block while hive dollar (HBD) is your liquid per. Hive is real money.

My Suggestion I think in a bid to get new hivers to know what is required of them or engage the platform without trespassing or going beyond what is expected of them from this #blockchain, i suggests that the major influencers on this #blockchain should help organise a basic tutorials or training to help new hivers gain adequate or basic knowledge on the prerequisite for engaging this #blockchain.
