Monthly and Weekly Combo Post

The end of the Month and the end of week 4 for April happened to coincide so I will cover both of my Tracking Projects in the one post.

Monthly Progress Report April

Tracking and Growth

We have just completed the first full month of Hive Activity. My first monthly report for March was only for the time we were on Hive Block Chain and included no Steem Stats, just Hive Stats.

Over-all I am very pleased with my progress through week six of being on Hive. I have learned a bit more about crypto, and have found some thoroughly enjoyable content. So on with the Monthly Stats Chart:

The chart has changed a bit from the March format, I think this is the format I will go with for now, always of course subject to change on a whim.

Postings:

Not to bad of a number for me, almost one post every other day. I would like to increase the number a little bit, and as the full Spring Kicks in for Alaska I hope to get a few more photo post out.

I am continuing to try and support the various communities on Hive Block Chain, I believe they will be very important to the casual user of Hive looking for things to look at and read. Communities supported this month:

Comments:

I slacked off a little bit on my commenting for a week or so. I was enjoying the HBO series True Blood. Still over-all for the month not to bad at all. I like to look at a variety of post and types of post, most of the time I like to leave some feedback, or my opinion or thoughts on a subject.

Engagement is what will help Hive grow. To get eyes on your work you need to look at other peoples works and to show some appreciation for their work. I have seen far to many people leave steem and Hive due to a lack of perceived engagement. It has to be a two way street though, you can not just post and hope and pray someone will see your work.

Comments, real comments, will pull people to your work if you made real comments or gave real feedback. None of the post that receive a lot of comments are from people who sit and comment only on their own work. They go out and enjoy other content also and comment on other peoples works.

Votes/Self-Votes:

I have discontinued this segment, I may try to incorporate it in my weekly stats now that **beeme.icu** is available, but it only shows seven days of votes.

Hive Earnings:

It was a pretty decent month. Some power down earnings from steem powered up into hive, and just over 85 HP earned for the month. For an infrequent poster, and mostly consumer I feel that is a pretty good number for me. As time passes on Hive that number may grow, for the new users of hive block chain seeing my reports it does take time to grow especially from the consumer side of things, just go out find stuff you like, comment participate, and create, and you will be amazed how easy it can actually be to grow your account.

End of Week Six - Report

Here is the weekly chart for the month of April:

Hive has been active now for six weeks. As mentioned above April is the first full month of Hive activity.

Post:

For the week only 3 but not to far off of the weekly average of 3.5, so a good week, and a good over-all month.

Comments and Replies

I like the numbers I have had for the month, a slight down turn for the last two weeks but I got interested in a few other things such as testing and Old TV. Slightly more than ten comments a day, I hope I can stay in that range in the coming weeks and months.

Current REP, and Current HP

Reputation growth is pretty slow, but still it is growing and the bar is moving so that is good. I finally made it to 66. Current HP growth was also very good for the month, Mostly from Power Down and then Power UP, but also a little bit from rewards and tips.

Averages

Not to bad on the week over week earnings average. I do like the weekly average for Total HP earned, that is a nice number for me to see. perhaps in the near future I can get it to 25 a week average, and I am looking forward to having 5000 HP in my account.

Conclusions:

For the first full month and the end of week Six of Hive being alive, for me things are going pretty well. I am looking forward to my personal progress, and to that of HIVE Block Chain. Don't forget to follow the @hiveio account they are the primary account for hive, and no need to worry about a flood of unrelated non important post/messages from them.

Another account you may or may not find useful is @takenote, They are an individual that is trying to "Take Note - Short Newsworthy Updates from the Hive Community. (Apps, Requests, Announcements, Developments.)" trying to keep people up to date on happenings around the hive.

For the community concept to survive Hive and to Thrive on Hive we the users, need to try and support them with our post, and as consumers with visiting them to see what is being offered.
