Hive Power Up Month Challenge 2022-01 - Winners List
The first edition of the Hive Power Up Month challenge of the year 2022 is now over.
Once again, this challenge has proven how difficult it is to stay committed for a whole month, even with rules as simple as:
- do 1 HIVE power-up or a 100% Hive Power post every day of the month
- don't power down
More successful participants
Compared to the previous edition in November 2021, we had quite the same number of participants at the beginning, but this time the number of participants who completed the challenge increased by more than 33%!.
As you can see in the following graph, we have lost a lot of participants along the way, including the very very last day.
Some made the mistake of not posting or powering up at the right time. Others have published but forgot to activate the 100% HP option. Others simply forgot to participate for a day. And each time the sanction was final: "Sorry, see you next time!"
With a record of 40 users who will receive the first PUM badge of the year, we are on the right track for this challenge to become as essential as Power Up Day is. Hopefully this number will grow even more in the next edition.
Special kudos to those who, while no longer eligible for the PUM badge, told us that they would continue to participate every day until the end, just for fun or to keep the good habit of staying engaged. You're amazing!
And now, the winners list
They are 40 participants to have held out with metronome regularity. Among them, 20 chose the publication with a 100% HP payout option, and 20 preferred the power-up way. That's a perfect balance.

Hive Power delegations coming!
As announced in our announcement post, all the winners of the PUM challenge will receive a 3 weeks Hive Power delegation from us!
The amount of HP delegated will be calculated according to the following criteria:
- How many successful Power Up Months you have achieved throughout the year.
- The total amount you powered up during the PUM.
- How many PUDs in a row have you participated in
- The levels of your power-ups on PUD (ex: you made two "level 3" and three "level 5" power-ups).
- The number of people you helped to power-up and the amount involved.
The higher all the above-mentioned values, the higher the delegation you will receive.
We still need to do some math to figure out what everyone will get but don't worry, we'll report the results soon.
In the meantime, you still have a few hours left to participate in Power Up Day and at the same time lay the first milestone of the Power Up Month of February which also begins today!
