A Binance crypto debit card soon to be a reality
I appreciate whatever bridges a gap between crypto and fiat in other words the more of crypto use case we have the more we can start to see adoption come to fruition.
From a personal experience I was sad when Xapo cancelled its crypto debit card operation in South Africa about 4-5 years ago. I have looked for other crypto debit card since then and found none to be operating in South Africa yet.
Binance's aquicition of Swipe a platform with multi asset digital wallet and VISA debit card that enables users to pay with cryptocurrency could bring a further use case for cryptocurrency. The possibilities of several cryptocurrencies being enabled on the debit card is promising.
You want to be able to link your wallet with your crypto debit card and walk into any store and swipe away. Though the usage of the card might not be available in all countries due to government regulation but I feel this could be a step in the right direction towards adoption.
It has been a year of the Covid 19 pandemic which have halted almost every aspect of life but in the crypto world the rate developments is on the rise.
