CBDC as a threat to Bitcoin

I relish the launch of CBDCs because I see it as exposing people to using Digital currencies and that's it. Some people want to be pushed before taking a look at cryptocurrency like BTC, the kind of push that will make them make such move is when the government say do it, sadly majority still believe in government's plan for them.
When the time do come when people are presented with CBDC, they will get a feel of transacting digitally and ultimately we might be seeing some curious ones gravitating towards Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies out there.

If there is a government pushing another cryptocurrency that’s even more open, more free, has less restrictions than Bitcoin, and is faster and cheaper to use, then that would threaten Bitcoin. But that is good for the industry, it’s just something better than Bitcoin, and would replace it. Source

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao's thought on CBDCs possible threat to Bitcoin, I however don't think we will ever get to open and free kind of cryptocurency developed by governments, it will remain closed so as to have control over it

I dot no see CBDCs being a threat to Bitcoin because one is decentralized and the other will become more centralized than it has been with paper fiat. We are witnessing transformation of money before us and it is interesting to watch.
