China currently working on the launch of a digital Yuan, the Corona virus pandemic have somewhat impacted the nation to speed up the launch of the digital Yuan but it doesn't stop there is a pan-Asian digital currency in the works to rival Facebook's Libra (Nova) and to reduce the supremacy of the US dollar.

The scheme—unveiled at a high-level political advisory meeting, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC,) on May 21—would create an East Asia digital currency, based on a basket of Asian currencies: the Chinese yuan, Japanese yen, South Korean won and Hong Kong dollar.

So much is taking place in the world right now, transformation is taking place before us, we are going to see central digital currencies globally just as we have it in the cryptocurrecy world.
Will the Chinese digital currency dominate? are we seeing the end of the dollar? though they all remain fiat be it digital or paper money. Time will tell.

Whatever is being done to digitize the fiat Bitcoin will be waiting, going now where. Though I still look at Bitcoin as a digital gold more than currency.
A lot is unknown about the future but I strongly think cryptocurrency/blockchain is the future, only if the masses know we will be singing a new song by now.
