Maybe I don't need to stress myself nor do I need to unnecessarily expend "not exactly" available resources on getting a GPU system anymore and I've come to this conclusion based on my indept analysis of the entire situation and considering my present financial capacity and the available technology.

If I got it on a platter, how awesome would it be? It would be like a blessing considering what I've planned to do with it. And by platter, I mean like a gift or at an extremely discounted giveaway price.

One of the main reasons for actually getting a GPU was for mining and gaming, but the truth is, the only thing I'm lacking is the gaming function, my CPU is too low to run the type of applications I like, as for mining, when I actually thought about the cost if running the equipment and the costs of the equipment itself, I see myself making almost the same thing I could make with other defi products like staking.

Take a platform like hive for example, do you know the amount of income streams it has? I don't, but I know quite a few, so I imagine a scenario where I invest the same amount of value setting up a mining rig into a trust worthy staking platform, chances are I'd get my profit in a much more economical manner than setting up a mining rig. At this point I'd rather stake in valuable projects than invest in deteriorating machineries.

It could be a total different case if I got the GPU on a platter, I don't even mind mining for 2years to make 10$ profit, but the fact that I can do it will be really thrilling and the gaming experience very exciting.

On the other hand if I cant get a GPU on a platter, best is to get a console, then instead of adding to my stakes or diversifying, I'd be busy buying game CD's and most likely other game gears like pads and expending resources rather than maximizing them.

A typical example of the type of platform that combines both gaming and mining and doesn't even require a GPU is a game I've always talked about, Splinterlands baby!

Did you know that owning cards on Splinterlands and playing them is equivalent to staking? Because winning battles is like miners competing for signing blocks and being rewarded for being the first to sign the block. On Splinterlands, when you win with your cards, you earn DEC, the in game currency that could be traded or transferred between both Ethereum and Tron chains.

There are no chills on Splinterlands!!! Almost every week has been a blast of some super cool news or updates from within the ecosystem, this kinda thing excites me beyond normal, Splinterlands makes me feel alive!Yeahhhhh! at this point you must want to know what's up!

The other day it was announcement about a partnership with Ubisoft, during the weekend, an announcement was made about another partnership between Splinterlands and GameCredits, for those who don't know GameCredits, GameCredit is designed with the concept of being a decentralized gaming eSport platform, likened to a factory where one can do basically anything game related, from creating of gaming items to trading and transferring of $Game(in game currency) credits between multiple games and users in a frictionless manner, tournaments and even staking.

Game Credit was launched in 2014 and has completed its transition to Ethereum blockchain where it is gradually being adopted by the games already built on Ethereum chain. Game boasts of having a client base of over 25,000 web wallet users, the in game currency $Game has been listed on few exchanges like Bittrex, Bitbay and Upbit.

According to Game Credit,

Gamers can also passively earn NFT’s by staking GAME and become part of other promotional giveaways through our GAME Rewards system. Game developers can further engage their players by giveaways (based on staking), in-game accomplishments, or contests, all based on a player’s stake of GAME toward the game. Feature rich and easy to use SDKs that allows you to create an open economy within every game. Language and Engine support for Unity, Unreal, Javascript and more.

The essence of the partnership is to allow $Game holders to stake on Splinterlands within the Game Credit platform which in turn allows them to receive staking rewards in $Game currency and other Splinterlands giveaways and airdrops. This is an excellent way to market Splinterlands and Hive in general.

Before Splinterlands was chosen as the winners for the partnership, they had to compete against other long established Ethereum games but remained the most supported, even on an alien chain, that is supercool stuff. Splinterlands is breaking out before our eyes...

This partnership is a showcase of an awesome stuff to over 20k new gamers. What do you think will become of this? Expansion? Growth? Empowerment? These are words that sweeten my belly. Huge thanks to the Splinterlands team for all their effort. This Splinterlands planet is going to be sick AF! And fortunately speaks well of Hive. This ship has taken off for real and I'm super stoked to be onboard!!!!!

Don't forget that if you don't have a Hive account or haven't bought any cards, you can still play for fun by registering with your Email address. This will allow you access to a lite account. The real deal is when you buy your cards and build your deck, because only then will you have access to tournaments, daily and season quests.
