๐ฅTotal value locked in DeFi rises to 4 Billion!
Hello!
All the eyes are on DeFi now. If you are not following that closely you may be missing the train. Maybe it will be as huge as the ICO craze we saw last 2017, or even higher.
I was looking for some stats about the evolution of DeFi, defipulse.com is one of the best sites to track it. The current value locked in DeFi is 4.5 billions according to them.
This is not the most amazing part of the story. What blowed my mind is the acceleration of this, later on I will upload a chart that speaks by itself.
Is DeFi a catalyst for cryptocurrency?
Well, first of all we should agree upon the definition of catalyst.
According to wikipedia:
A substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change.
In our case in order to be a Crypto Catalyst DeFi should increase the rate of the acceleration of the next bull run.
I personally think that it have all the properties to do so. It has a lot of attention, people are investing like crazy, and it actually can be really useful in the future.

Is the evolution of the total value locked in USD in DeFi. It reminds me the last bull run mainly caused by ICOs all over the place. And we all know what happened next...
