HOW TO INCREASE OUR USERS RETENTION: start by Removing that stupid CURVE and the "Dust Haircut"

I am really happy to see that there are influencing people talking about the possibility of removing the Stupid Curation Reward Curve that was implemented in one of the last HF of STEEM, few months before the "Birth" of HIVE.

Currently, according to @penguinpablo site, your precious upvote is worth much more if you use it on a post or comment that has already accumulated $2...

Obviously, this threshold used to be higher a few weeks ago but, since the HIVE price keeps tanking and the activity as well, I guess we may see it even lower... This is not an advantage, this is just a consequence of the current economical performance of HIVE.

Upvoting on a post rewarded below that threshold, you risk to lose almost -15% on curation rewards while if you do on a post already earning 10$, your upvote simply get till +20% .

In my opinion, this Stupid Rewarding Curve combined with the another stupid parameter AKA "Dust haircut" are discouraging engagement in the blockchain which finally end on a low retention index.

Oh, well, still you don't know what the "Dust haircut" is? It is simply that a pending payout less than $0.02 is not paid out, which is called dust payout.
Basically, don't expect to get any reward if your post or comment it's actually $0.019.

That's the reason why I try to upvote my commentators with an upvote at least higher than 0.02$ if I think the comment and interaction worth so. The problem is that I am "wasting" the chance to use my upvote on a comment or a post which has already passed the $2 threshold of the rewarding curve, so... yes, I am risking double since I could blindly upvote a more popular post without even reading it.

At the end of the day, I think, these two measures only deviate the attention and interest towards some accounts which, for the same type of content and quality, used to get highers rewards than the rest of the normal humans.

Newcomers arrive to HIVE, spend quite a lot of time trying to attract some attention and, at the same time, also understanding how HIVE blockchain works... After struggling for some time, they resign and quit, frustrated = WE FAIL AGAIN.

Remember on 2017? there were no Dust Haircut neither Rewarding Curve...I know, there were bidbots and selfvoters...but also we did not have downvotes.

Since we can use downvotes in order to fight against abusers, why we should keep those stupid restrictions for the most important action of this blockchain?

We need to attract investors, but more urgently USERS and we MUST RETAIN THEM.

Removing constraints like the ones described here is a mandatory task IMO.
