I have written an earlier post on how the new bidding system on PeakMonsters has enabled owners to rent out cards faster and get competitive rates.

In this post, I wanted to use a live example to demonstrate how you as an owner who is looking to rent out cards, can set your rental prices smartly using the tools available on PeakMonsters. This is also something which I recently discovered while using PeakMonsters.

Let's say I have an Exploding Rats card which I wanted to rent out.

  1. Go to "Rent", click on "Configure CP Bid". In here, you can see the current bids as you can toggle between ALL, 1k+, 5k+, 15k+, 50k+ and 120k+ tabs. Under 1k+ range, I spotted that the most competitive bid rate is 150 CP/DEC for a minimum of 10 CP per card. As my Exploding Rats card is worth 20 CP, the 140 CP/DEC rates don't apply because the minimum is 50 CP per card.

  2. Go to "My Cards". I selected my Exploding Rats card and key in 150 CP/DEC to generate a suggested rental rate that I could set. As you can see, the maximum rental rate to fit the criteria would be 0.133 DEC per day, which means a rate 150.38 CP/DEC (more than the bid rate of 150 CP/DEC). Then I clicked Confirm.

  3. If you are successful, almost immediately, the rental would be matched! There you go, I have rented out my Exploding Rats at 0.133 DEC per day. This is 33% higher than the current market rate of 0.1 DEC per day.

However, I must add that this does not work 100% of the time due to a variety of reasons.

  • CP bids can be cancelled by players anytime.
  • Some players might have acted quicker than you and filled up the bid before you listed your card.
  • Filled orders might still show up because the system won't be able to update instantaneously.

So my suggestion is you have to be as quick as possible! It takes some practice to spot the appropriate bid rates and list your cards. Thankfully, PeakMonsters has such data available and also the tools to compute the maths.

Hope you like my sharing! As always, thanks for reading and have a great day ahead! :)
