I wanted to write my thoughts about something that I stumbled upon while browsing the web. We all know that it has been quite some time since we learned of PlayStation 5 and Xbox One Series X S Ultra Mega (fix your naming scheme, Microsoft)

$499. A very classic price for the standard editions of both consoles with their Blu-Ray drives that only a minuscule of people actually utilize. Since when did anyone actually went ahead and bought a physical copy when you can, 99% of the time, purchase a copy digitally for cheaper prices.

Anyways, that's not the topic here.

As I was saying in the beginning, while browsing the web, I stumbled upon an article from one of the news sites saying that Xbox One Series X S Ultra Mega is nearly triple the price in the United States. For the record, the announced price was initially 7499 TL, however, this was updated a few days later to 9299 TL. Even with the current exchange rate (which kinda gets messed up every day anyways)

That is about $1200!

That's a lot of money. I am not even including the games here, PlayStation/Sony has been talking about increasing the game prices by $10, I'd like to let everyone know that a game from EA or basically any AAA that always put profit first, costs about 499-799 TL (depending on the edition) Imagine having to pay 500 TL just for a single game when you are earning 2000 TL a month (which is the approx. minimum wage here) that's crazy. That is, if you even manage to purchase the console at all.

PC parts/prebuilt PC prices are not so different as well, you'd be damn lucky if you are able to find a cheap GTX 1080 or above here, even though it has been years since those cards are released, I've seen them costing all the way up to 10k Turkish Lira, which again, is more than $1.2k...

Gaming in Turkey, being a gamer in Turkey is hard...

How is it like that in your country? I know Brazil has some issues with this too due to harsh taxes.
