PeakD features Cross-post and Tip and more

PeakD, la migliore interfaccia per Hive, nonchè la più attiva ha introdotto da qualche tempo la funzione di Cross-posting e, da pochissimo, la funzione Tip
Partiamo dal Cross-posting, che da qualche tempo viene utilizzato. Il problema che il cross-posting cerca di risolvere è la visibilità di un post. Se, infatti, un post viene inserito da una community, sarà visibile solo nella community stessa oppure sotto "All Post" per l'autore stesso.
Tramite la funzione di cross-posting è quindi possibile inserire un vero e proprio post, che sarà visibile in un'altra community.
Si è già molto parlato di questa funzione borderline, soprattutto se se ne fa un uso eccessivo al limite dello spamming.
Ora PeakD implementerà una modifica a questa funzione, per default il payout dei cross-post saranno declined.
In questo modo fare cross-posting sarà utile dal punto di vista della visibilità del post, ma non permetterà ulteriori guadagni, tagliando le gambe ad un utilizzo più simile allo spamming che alla valorizzazione di contenuti validi.
Veniamo alla nuovissima funzione Tip.
Sostanzialmente si tratta di un Transfer, per così dire, facilitato.
Clikkando sul bottone apposito si effettua un Transfer dal proprio wallet a quello dell'autore del post, senza quindi dover accedere al proprio wallet e selezionare il destinatario del trasferimento.
Si decide quindi che valuta (Hive o HBD) e in che quantità trasferire, si inserisce un memo e si effettua il trasferimento.
Il trasferimento viene memorizzato inserendo in realtà due trasferimenti uno all'autore del post e uno a null.
Nel memo di entrambi alcune "parole chiave" permettono di tracciare il tip, sia nel wallet sia nella visualizzazione del post.
In particolare il memo inzia con !tip seguito dall'indirizzo univoco del post a cui si riferisce, l'utente che lo ha effettuato e la "firma" dell'app, cioè PeakD.
Rimane una piccola parte del memo destinata al commento vero e proprio.
L'1% degli Hive/HBD vanno quindi "bruciati", nelle intenzioni di PeakD questo dovrebbe evitare gli abusi, cosa che non mi è del tutto chiara, perché anche nel caso di chi ha n account, trasferire Hive da un account all'altro è una pratica del tutto lecita e non porta a nessun vantaggio, cosa che invece capita con gli autovoti, per altro pratica ammessa su Hive.
A cosa servono quindi questi Tip?
Sostanzialmente lo scopo è quello di valorizzare i contenuti validi, trasferendo denaro proprio invece che utilizzare il proprio Voting Power.
Per quanto l'idea sia buona non credo verrà ultilizzata in modo tale da renderla un modo utile per riconoscere i contenuti e gli autori validi, immagino, magari sbagliandomi, che tirare fuori soldi propri sia un forte deterrente al suo utilizzo.
Se fosse prevista anche la possibilità di usare i token presenti su hive-engine forse potrebbe avere un maggiore successo.
Veniamo quindi appunto ad hive-engine.
Nella prossima release di PeakD sarà integrato hive-engine.
Nel wallet, così come succede su steempeak per steem-engine, saranno visibili i token posseduti, il valore stimato del wallet di hive-engine, etc.
Sebbene con un certo ritardo hive-engine si popola ogni giorno di più dei token gemelli presenti su steem-engine, alcuni fanno capo a community che, quanto prima, torneranno a distribuire payout nei rispettivi token.
Come sempre PeakD sarà l'interfaccia ottimale per poter avere sotto controllo anche questo aspetto dell'universo Hive.

Let's start with Cross-posting, which has been used for some time.
The problem that cross-posting tries to solve is the visibility of a post. In fact, if a post is inserted by a community, it will be visible only in the community itself or under "All Post" for the author himself.
Through the cross-posting function it is therefore possible to insert a real post, which will be visible in another community.
There has already been a lot of talk about this borderline feature, especially if you make excessive use of it to the limit of spamming.
Now PeakD will implement a change to this feature, by default the cross-post payout will be declined.
In this way, doing cross-posting will be useful from the point of view of the visibility of the post, but will not allow further gains, cutting the legs to a use more similar to spamming than to the enhancement of valid content.
We come to the brand new Tip function.
Basically it is a Transfer, so to speak, facilitated.
Clicking on the appropriate button you can make a Transfer from your wallet to that of the author of the post, without therefore having to access your wallet and select the recipient of the transfer.
It is then decided which currency (Hive or HBD) and in what quantity to transfer, a memo is inserted and the transfer is made.
The transfer is stored by actually inserting two transfers one to the author of the post and one to null.
In the memo of both some "keywords" allow you to track the tip, both in the wallet and in the post view.
In particular, the memo starts with ! Tip followed by the unique address of the post to which it refers, the user who made it and the "signature" of the app, ie PeakD.
There remains a small part of the memo intended for actual comment.
The 1% of the Hive / HBD must therefore be "burned", in PeakD's intentions this should avoid abuse, which is not entirely clear to me, because even in the case of those who have n accounts, transfer Hives from one account to the other is a completely lawful practice and does not lead to any advantage, something that happens with autovoti, for other practice allowed on Hive.
So what are these Tips for?
Basically the aim is to enhance the valid content, transferring your own money instead of using your Voting Power.
As good as the idea is, I don't think it will be used in such a way as to make it a useful way to recognize valid contents and authors, I guess, perhaps mistakenly, that pulling out your own money is a deterrent to its use.
If the possibility of using the tokens present on the hive-engine were also envisaged, it could perhaps be more successful.
We come therefore precisely to hive-engine.
In the next release of PeakD it will be integrated with hive-engine. In the wallet, as happens on steempeak for steem-engine, the tokens held will be visible, the estimated value of the hive-engine wallet, etc.
Although with a certain delay hive-engine is populated more every day than the twin tokens present on steem-engine, some are headed by communities that, as soon as possible, will return to distribute payouts in their respective tokens.
As always, PeakD will be the optimal interface to be able to have this aspect of the Hive universe under control.
