Hello friends, little more than 5 months have passed (precisely 5 months and 11 days) since I joined the beautiful Splinterlands game.
Every month I write a report to evaluate Splinterlands not as a game but as an investment.
This month I'm late because the hard fork caused a temporary drop in the prices of cards and DEC and therefore I wanted to wait for the situation to return to normal before writing my usual monthly post on Splinterlands.

March purchases
* Also this month I decided to continue investing in Splinterlands!
I also decided that 50% of the STEEMs I earn on Steem will invest them all in Splinterlands.
I don't have the magic crystal ball but I am convinced that Splinterlands still has great growth margins.

My shopping list
In the following table you can see all the cards that I bought in March.
I spent a total of 14.15 $ (= 99.648 STEEM).

Internal market vs PeakMonsters
If you need to buy cards I recommend using the PeakMonsters market.
* In the Splinterlands internal market you can buy a card at the best price at a certain time.
In the PeakMonsters market you can make offers below the market price (BID) and therefore you can get much more advantageous prices.
For example if you want to buy Tyrus Paladium (Lv.1) from the Splinterlands internal market you have to spend $ 1.31.
In fact, the moment I write this post $ 1.31 is the lowest price you can find Tyrus Paladium in the Market section of Splinterlands. * To buy Tyrus Paladium I preferred not to buy it immediately and at the best available price but to make an offer on the PeakMonsters market.
From the Market section I searched for Tyrus Paladium. **
* I used the filters to find immediately the card I wanted to buy.
I clicked on the **BID button as you can see from the arrow in the following image.
* I entered my offer.
I chose the price of 0.8 $ and made sure that my offer was the highest.
Then I pressed the **CONFIRM button
After one day my offer (BID) was matched and I purchased Tyrus Paladium for $ 0.8
Thanks to PeakMonsters I bought the card at a great price. The price corresponds to the second best price for a single card on the market ($ / BCX). Without the opportunity to bid, to get that price I would have had to buy level 8 Tyrus Paladium which is equivalent to buying 117 cards and spending $ 92.36. * With this example I showed you how useful a site like https://peakmonsters.com/
Closed the parenthesis on PeakMonsters we return to the evaluation of Splinterlands only from an economic point of view.

Evaluating Splinterlands as an investment

To evaluate an investment, you need to compare costs and revenues.

Total Investment Cost
The total cost of my investment on Splinterlands to date is given by the following sum:
**Registration Cost (Starter Set) + Cost of Purchased Cards

Until February 19th the total cost was **48.47 $
If at $ 48.47 I add $ 14.15 I get the total cost that I have incurred to date: $ 62.62.

The total cost in STEEM is 440.986

Now that I have calculated the total cost, I just have to calculate the revenues.
On Splinterlands, revenues correspond to Cards and DEC (Dark Energy Crystal) tokens.

How much are my cards worth?
* To calculate the dollar value of my cards I use the Peakmonsters website which greatly facilitates and speeds up the calculation.
To calculate the value of my card collection I chose to take into consideration the average value obtained by the following formula:
**Total Value using Bids Prices + Total Value using Market Prices / 2.
The average value is 64.3 $ and the corresponding STEEM value is 452.817.
How much are my DECs worth?
I have 1778 DEC and to calculate the STEEM value I use the site https://steem-engine.com/?p=market&t=DEC
My DEC value is 4.78282 STEEM**.

Now we have all the data we need to calculate any profit or loss. **
Considerations
In just over five months, I made a profit of $ 2.36**.
The ROI is equal to 3.76%.
It may seem little but it is not and I will explain why.
With enhanced cards my rating will go up and I will earn more DEC and more rewards.
With my 2900 rating, I will earn more than 220 rewards every month.
Profit is expected to increase month after month.
Posts and Contests: If I consider the upvotes I received in 5 months from the @steemmonsters account, then I am in strong profit and the ROI exceeds 70%!

Objectives and Strategies

The objectives and strategies for the month of April are:
Diamond League II: My main goal is to enter Diamond League II.
Strategies: I will reinvest 100% of the DECs that I earn from battles into cards. 50% of the earnings from my posts on Steem will reinvest them in cards.
Upgrade: I'll upgrade three of my summoners to level 4.
**Report: Every month I will write a post to evaluate Splinterlands not as a game but as an investment and I will calculate the ROI.

Ogni mese scrivo un resoconto per valutare Splinterlands non come gioco ma come investimento.

Non ho la sfera di cristallo ma sono convinto che Splinterlands ha ancora grandi margini di crescita.

Se devi comprare delle carte ti consiglio di utilizzare il mercato di PeakMonsters.
* Nel mercato interno di Splinterlands puoi comprare una carta al miglior prezzo in un determinato momento.
Nel mercato di PeakMonsters puoi fare delle offerte inferiori al prezzo di mercato (BID) e quindi puoi ottenere prezzi molto più vantaggiosi.
Ad esempio se vuoi comprare Tyrus Paladium (Liv.1) dal mercato interno di Splinterlands devi spendere 1.31 $.
Infatti nel momento in cui scrivo questo post 1.31 $ è il prezzo più basso a cui puoi trovare Tyrus Paladium nella sezione Market di Splinterlands.

Per comprare Tyrus Paladium ho preferito non acquistarlo subito e al miglior prezzo disponibile ma fare un'offerta sul mercato di PeakMonsters.

Ho cliccato sul bottone *BID come puoi vedere dalla freccia nell'immagine seguente. Ho inserito la mia offerta.
Ho scelto il prezzo di 0.8 $ e ho fatto in modo che la mia offerta fosse la più alta.
Poi ho premuto sul bottone *CONFIRM
Dopo un giorno la mia offerta (BID) è stata abbinata e ho acquistato Tyrus Paladium a 0.8 $
Grazie a PeakMonsters ho acquistato la carta ad un prezzo ottimo.
Il prezzo corrisponde al secondo miglior prezzo per singola carta presente sul mercato ($/BCX).
Senza la possibilità di fare offerte per avere quel prezzo avrei dovuto acquistare Tyrus Paladium di livello 8 che equivale a comprare 117 carte e spendere 92.36 $.

Il costo totale del mio investimento su Splinterlands fino ad oggi è dato dalla seguente somma:

Fino al 19 Febbraio il costo totale era di 48.47 $.
Se a 48.47 $ aggiungo 14.15 $ ottengo il costo totale che ho sostenuto fino ad oggi: 62.62 $.

Adesso che ho calcolato il costo totale non mi resta che calcolare i ricavi.
Su Splinterlands i ricavi corrispondono alle Carte e ai token DEC (Dark Energy Crystal).

Per calcolare il valore in dollari delle mie carte utilizzo il sito Peakmonsters che facilita e velocizza di molto il calcolo. Per calcolare il valore della mia collezione di carte prendo in considerazione il valore medio** ottenuto dalla seguente formula:

Il valore medio è di 64.3 $ e il corrispondente valore in STEEM è di 452.817.
Quanto valgono i miei DEC?

Considerazioni
In poco più di cinque mesi ho ottenuto un profitto di 2,36$**.
Il ROI è uguale al 3,76%.
Potrebbe sembrare poco ma non lo è e ti spiego il motivo.
Con le carte potenziate il mio rating salirà e guadagnerò più DEC e più ricompense.
Con il mio rating di 2900 guadagnerò ogni mese più di 220 bauli. I bauli contengono Carte, DEC e Pozioni.
Il profitto dovrebbe incrementare mese dopo mese.
Posts e Contests: Se considero gli upvotes che ho ricevuto in 5 mesi dall'account @steemmonsters sono in forte profitto e il ROI supera il 70%!

Obiettivi e Strategie

Gli obiettivi e le strategie per il mese di Aprile sono:
Diamond League II: Il mio obiettivo principale è di entrare nella Diamond League II.
Strategie: Reinvestirò in carte il 100% dei DEC che guadagnerò dalle battaglie. Il 50% dei guadagni dei miei post su Steem li reinvestirò in carte.
Upgrade: Porterò tre dei miei evocatori al livello 4.
**Resoconto: Ogni mese scriverò un post per valutare Splinterlands non come un gioco ma come un investimento e calcolerò il ROI.
