Un saluto a tutti,
oggi vorrei parlarvi di quella che è una percezione che ho spesso nel confrontarmi con alcuni interlocutori, soprattutto quando si parla di qualcosa di nuovo e fuori dalla loro conoscenza.
Diciamocelo sinceramente, quante volte davanti a una novità che stravolge le nostre abitudini ci sentiamo "violati" e ci mettiamo sulla difensiva, come a voler difendere il mondo che ci siamo costruiti intorno?
Credo che tutti ci siamo trovati almeno una volta (ma scommetto molte di più) davanti a una situazione simile, in quella che potremmo definire come una condizione mentale nella quale ci sentiamo tranquilli e a nostro agio e nella quale il rischio non è contemplato e che quindi ci spinge a rifiutare novità che possano influire su tale condizione.
La Comfort Zone è proprio questo, crearsi una condizione in cui stare al proprio posto, al sicuro e seguire quasi una routine nella quale si compiono azioni ripetitive in ambiti che si conoscono e sono rassicuranti.
Questo si traduce anche in azioni non solo mentali ma anche fisiche, come frequentare sempre gli stessi posti e le stesse persone, cioè quello che già si conosce rifiutando l'ignoto.
Questo perchè in tale modo si è consapevoli di cosa aspettarsi e si percepisce di limitare al minimo i rischi oppure di non essere costretti ad assumerli affatto.
Ma vivere all'interno della propria Comfort Zone ha anche dei lati estremamente negativi, come quello di far perdere delle grosse opportunità proprio per la paura di uscire dalla propria isola felice, dalla propria routine.
Non sono impazzito e se vi parlo di questo argomento è proprio perchè secondo me è strettamente correlato al mondo delle criptovalute, delle blockchain e dei Social Media come Hive.
Non dico qualcosa di sbagliato affermando che la gente comune è abitutata da sempre alla moneta cartacea o metallica e già il tentativo di farla entrare nell'ottica dell'utilizzo delle carte di credito e dei bancomat, quindi di una moneta "smaterializzata", è stato un duro attacco alla loro Comfort Zone.. e ad essere sinceri in molte parti del mondo non è neanche un processo completo, in quanto ancora in moltissimi utilizzano la moneta classica, quella che si può toccare con mano, nella loro quotidianità.
Immaginate adesso che attacco alla loro Comfort Zone possa rappresentare l'introduzione del concetto di criptovalute nella loro vita! Ecco, proprio questo è uno dei motivi per cui le criptovalute non riescono a trovare una platea di utilizzatori tanto ampia quanto meriterebbero.
E come nelle più classiche delle situazioni nelle quali ciò che non si comprende si demonizza, le criptovalute vengono rappresentate come il male, legate ad affari loschi, utilizzate dai criminali per compiere i loro traffici illeciti.
Ma potrei fare un discorso analogo per il concetto di blockchain, decentralizzazione, resistenza alla censura.. cencetti che dovrebbero entrare come un coltello nel burro nella nostra quotidianità, ma che di fatto restano circoscritti solo in alcuni ambiti fin troppo circoscritti rispetto alla reale necessità che si diffondano a macchia d'olio.
Per non parlare poi del WEB 3.0 o dei social media come Hive, che presentano indubbi vantaggi rispetto alle alternative classiche (Youtube, Facebook, Twitter per citarne solo alcuni), ma che stentano a diffondersi al grande pubblico proprio perchè necessitano di uno sforzo di comprensione che finirebbe per portare la gente ampiamente fuori dalla propria Comfort Zone.
Quindi meglio far calpestare i propri diritti e adeguarsi alle regole assurde che questi social classici impongono, rinunciando anche all'aspetto economico appannaggio di chi li possiede e guadagna miliardi di dollari ogni anno, piuttosto che uscire dalla propria routine e dalla propria zona tranquilla.
Questo la dice lunga su chi utilizza le criptovalute, le blockchain e i social media che potenzialmente rappresentano il futuro (Hive in testa)... quindi compreso il sottoscritto.
Classificherei queste persone, me stesso, come dei pionieri pronti a uscire da concetti preconfezionati al solo scopo di tenerci a bada e ad esplorare quello che il mondo e il progresso tecnologico hanno da offrire.
Volendo andare ancora più a fondo nella questione e restringendo il campo a noi italiani, devo ammettere che il concetto di Comfort Zone in alcuni ambiti è molto radicato. Siamo una delle nazioni industrializzate con il più basso tasso di utilizzo di moneta elettronica (Bancomat e Carte di credito) e tenere i soldi in Banca rappresenta ancora la forma di risparmio preferita dagli italiani.
Benchè siamo apprezzati e stimati in tutto il mondo in diversi ambiti, se parliamo di finanza e risparmio devo ammettere che non brilliamo per innovazione.
In questo panorama (sconfortante, aggiungerei) è facile comprendere come la penetrazione della moneta virtuale, le criptovalute, sia molto distante da quella di altri paesi e concetti come blockchain e social media decentralizzato siano tuttora quasi sconosciuti.
Per questo pongo ancora una volta l'attenzione sulla necessità che noi italiani presenti su Hive dobbiamo rappresentare i pionieri di questa rivoluzione e per farlo dobbiamo compattarci e trovare un'unità che troppo spesso per invidia, gelosie e manie di protagonismo, è compromessa dai nostri comportamenti.

Let's say it sincerely, how many times in front of a novelty that upsets our habits we feel "violated" and we put ourselves on the defensive, as if we wanted to defend the world we have built around us?
I believe that we have all found ourselves at least once (but I bet a lot more) in a similar situation, in what we could define as a mental condition in which we feel calm and comfortable and in which the risk is not contemplated and that therefore pushes us to reject novelties that could affect this condition.
The *Comfort Zone is just that, to create a condition in which we can stay in our place, safe and follow almost a routine in which we perform repetitive actions in areas that we know and are reassuring.
This also translates into actions not only mental but also physical, such as always attending the same places and the same people, i.e. the one you already know by rejecting the unknown.
This is because in this way you are aware of what to expect and you feel you are minimizing risks or not being forced to take them at all.
But *living inside your Comfort Zone also has some extremely negative sides, such as that of making you lose big opportunities just for the fear of getting out of your happy island, out of your routine.
I'm not crazy and if I tell you about this subject it's because in my opinion it's closely related to the world of cryptocurrency, blockchain and social media like Hive.
I'm not saying something wrong by saying that ordinary people have always been accustomed to paper or metal currency and the attempt to make them take into the perspective of using credit cards and ATMs, so a "dematerialized" currency, was a hard attack on their Comfort Zone... and to be honest in many parts of the world is not even a complete process, as still many people use the classic currency, the one you can touch with your hand, in their daily life.
Imagine now that attack to their Comfort Zone could represent the introduction of the concept of cryptocurrency in their lives! That's one of the reasons why cryptocurrencies can't find as wide an audience of users as they deserve.
And as in the most classic situations in which *what you don't understand is demonized, cryptocurrencies are represented as evil, linked to shady deals, used by criminals to carry out their illicit traffics.
But I could make a similar speech for the concept of blockchain, decentralization, resistance to censorship... little things that should enter like a knife in the butter in our daily life, but that in fact remain limited only in some areas too specific to the real need to spread like wildfire.
Not to mention WEB 3.0 or social media such as Hive, which have undoubted advantages over classic alternatives (Youtube, Facebook, Twitter to name but a few), but which are difficult to spread to the general public precisely because they need an effort of understanding that would eventually lead people to navigate widely outside their comfort zone.
So you feel safer (or not at all) to continue to trample on your rights and adapt to the absurd rules that these classic social classics impose, even giving up a possible economic return for those who own them and earn billions of dollars every year, rather than get out of your routine and your quiet zone.
This says a lot about those who use cryptocurrency, blockchain and social media that potentially represent the future (Hive at the top)... therefore including myself.
I would classify these people, myself, as *pioneers ready to come out of pre-packaged concepts for the sole purpose of keeping us at bay and exploring what the world and technological progress have to offer.
Wanting to go even deeper into the matter and narrow it down to us Italians, I must admit that the concept of *Comfort Zone in some areas is very deeply rooted. We are one of the industrialized nations with the lowest rate of use of electronic money (ATMs and credit cards) and keeping money in the bank is still the preferred form of savings for Italians.
Although we are appreciated and esteemed all over the world in different fields, if we talk about finance and savings I must admit that we do not shine for innovation.
In this panorama (discouraging, I would add) it is easy to understand how the penetration of virtual currency, cryptocurrencies, is very far from that of other countries and concepts like blockchain and decentralized social media are still almost unknown.
That's why *I once again draw attention to the need for us Italians present on Hive to represent the pioneers of this revolution and to do so we have to compact ourselves and find a unity that too often, out of envy, jealousy and obsessions of protagonism, is compromised by our behaviour.
