Taking Peakd Tipping For A Test Drive

I just logged in today to see that tipping is now live on the peakd front end, something we've all been asking for, for some time. Yes we could use the wallet directly or the tip u bot but there's something nice about a one-click action, we're lazy creatures so put it in front of us and we'll use it

Decided to take it for a test drive and reward a few posts with a tip and it works pretty well, it even lights up and shows you how many tips you got.

It also gives you the amount in tips you get when you hover over the hive icon on the right to see the reward break down which is pretty cool.

What's up in the wallet

When you tip a user a small portion of your HIVE is burned so the more transactions we do, the more we burn a portion of HIVE, which I think is awesome.

It means we can start to regulate the inflation better and provide new avenues for distribution fo the currency as well as improve the scarcity of the currency the more we use it, which to me sits pretty well in my economic theory.

I don't normally keep any liquid HIVE as I'm always powering up but now I think I'll keep some to top. I often burn out my voting power when curating so tipping will be my fall back when I need to wait to restore VP.

What could be next? Could we do Steem Engine token tipping too? I think the popular tipping coins like BEER, SHADE, COFFEEA and ENGAGE could get a shout in there too if just to call their tipping function since the bot is already running.

As for direct tipping and burning, why not? Let them all set their own burn ratios and let's see how it all plays out.
