Intro:

We always prioritize morning and afternoon for walking. The main reason for this is that we have to use lights to walk at night and walking is comfortable when there are plenty of lights in day time. So, it is very enjoyable to walk in the morning after waking up or in the afternoon just before sunset. That is why everywhere in the city or in the village, we see people coming out of the house in the morning and in the afternoon to do various work and walk. There are very few people in the countryside who do not go to the market at least once in the afternoon. The thing is that if they don't go to the market, their stomach rice will not be digested. On the other hand, those who are health conscious in urban areas must go out for a walk in the afternoon. This is what we call jogging.

What i am going to share:

In this post, I am going to share the experience of walking in the afternoon and traveling. Its not just travel but also a conversation with two entrepreneurs. I will tell the story of how to make a lot of profit by investing in fish farming by using the unused land lying in the rainy season with little capital. I would like to share today a memory of one afternoon where I enjoyed the captivating view in a rural environment with my friends in the afternoon as well as learn the fancy method of fish farming from my two entrepreneurial friends and share the experience of doubling the profit from there.

I have got invitation to visit a fish project:

It’s a little different from a typical afternoon walk because at the invitation of a friend we go to visit his fish project. The fish project is a huge fish project covering an area of about 300 acres land so that lots of fish are being farmed. My two school friends started farming fish in that fish project together. When we meet in the market, they suddenly comes and invites us to visit their project. It is located in a rural environment so this environment is very captivating. That’s why I did not miss to visit his project with some village friends.

About the Fish Project:

As I said earlier, this is a project covering an area of about 300 acres and the projects that are being done here are not the lands of the farmers themselves. Other farmers' lands are leased for fish farming during the monsoon season for a small fee. There is water in the field during the monsoon season so the farmers cannot cultivate any crops or vegetables here. So, the land is taken from them for some time and fish is farmed in it. When the water dries up after about six months, the leftovers from the fish feed remain on the ground so that after the water dries up, the farmers can easily cultivate their own or any other vegetable here. Since the land remains unused during the monsoon season, the landowner’s benefit as much as the fish farmers benefit from using the land for fish farming with some money. Landowners are getting some money from fish farmers for leasing their fallow land as well as getting some organic fertilizer automatically. By doing this, they get double benefit. On the other hand, those who are farming fish are able to make a good profit for six months and are contributing to the country's economy. And by doing so, both parties are benefiting and ensuring maximum utilization of resources.

Difficulties in Project Initiation:

However, the difficult thing here is to get everything together and get permission from them and start fish farming. For this, one has to take initiative first and suffer. I am talking about our two friends, they are both experts in entrepreneurship and they have experience in fish farming so they are successful entrepreneurs taking the new generation of entrepreneurs.

Our Boat Travelling:

As the project got bigger, they kept boats inside it and fed fish around the boat. We use that boat for our travels i.e. we see the whole project through the boat. We have seen that some lands are still cultivated in some rainy seasons. So, the whole area was very captivating. It is a beautiful rural environment and we could see the sunset. At first, we cruise along the shores of the fish project and then we travel by boat when the sun is slowly setting.

Story from the Entrepreneurs:

It is very challenging to start such a big project with two people. It is really difficult to involve ourselves in such a big responsible work and productive work. However, these two friends of mine have shown it, both of whom are in their 30s. I heard from them different kinds of feeding of fish and various stories. Step by step they described the activities of different stages among us. That is, they shared about how they got started, how much money they put in here, how to maintain it, how many workers they hired, and how much money they spent daily or monthly. They have 4 people to look after and maintain the project. The four of them give food during the day and keep watch at night.

Brief idea on Investment and Return:

This is a very big project. So far in 3 months about 4 million Bangladeshi taka which is about 50, 000 US dollars they have already invested and they will probably invest the same amount in the next three months on food. Main costing is fish food. For 4 workers they spend 500 USD per months. Initial investment took about 3,000 USD, for lease they spend about 4,000 USD and Fish cost was about 7,000 USD. Out of 50,000 USD rest are food for these three months. After another three months at the end they will be able to harvest their fish and hopefully they will be able to make almost double the profit. In addition to food, fish are also getting some natural food in large places in the open environment. Since they did not spend much money to lease such a huge amount of land, the amount of profit here is very good. Fish can move easily in large areas so it grows very fast. That is why such projects are gaining popularity in Bangladesh day by day. There is a growing interest in fish farming in the country now. Time goes by easily as you go around and talk and listen to all sorts of things. We come back home again.

Final Words:

Engaging oneself in agricultural activities is a demand of the present time and this work is highly valued. I have personally talked about this in my blog before and there is good news for those who will now dedicate themselves to and invest in agricultural work. Because whatever the condition of all other sectors, the agricultural sector will survive because the demand for food of the people will remain. So, I welcome the initiative of these two friends of ours. In this way, I wish everyone to get involved in agricultural activities and become entrepreneurs. I am fortunate to be able to inspect such a beautiful and productive investment project as I have never inspected such a large project before. And enjoyed a very happy atmosphere with friends and got ideas on the best investment of the time. I too will start such investments if I ever get a chance. Many thanks to all my friends for giving me such a beautiful afternoon gift and thank you for reading my article.
