[En-Esp] ¿Humanidad verdaderamente Unida contra el Virus?/ Humanity truly united against the virus?
Momentos críticos se viven en todo el mundo algo que nunca pensábamos que nos iba a alcanzar ahora está inmerso en la totalidad de los días en estos últimos meses y no sabremos cuando acabara lo que parece una película de ciencia ficción. No ha alcanzado un enemigo en común y al parecer continuara con nosotros por mucho tiempo. Ahora la pregunta que deberíamos hacernos es ¿Qué podría pasar luego del virus?.
Critical moments are experienced all over the world, something we never thought would reach us. Now it is immersed in the totality of the days in these last months and we will not know when what looks like a science fiction movie will end. It has not reached a common enemy and it seems that it will continue with us for a long time. Now the question we should ask ourselves is what could happen after the virus?
Divisiones/ Divisions
En un mundo dividido por ideologías políticas, problemas como el racismo, la oleada de odio propiciado por el fanatismo religioso, todo esto causante de guerras infinitas donde se dispara contra el prójimo y donde al final se lastima la humanidad a sí misma. Esa “humanidad” que tanto hace alarde en todos los medios es cuestionada por las acciones de intolerancia y egoísmo en torno al tema del nuevo virus.
In a world divided by political ideologies, problems such as racism, the wave of hatred fostered by religious fanaticism, all of this causes endless wars where people shoot at each other and where in the end humanity hurts itself. This "humanity" that is so much in evidence in all the media is being questioned by the actions of intolerance and selfishness around the subject of the new virus.
Un Enemigo en Común Forja Alianzas… ¿o no?/ A Common Enemy Forges Alliances... or not?
Hemos visto como este enemigo de la humanidad ha dejado al descubierto a muchos líderes y alianzas entre naciones que supuestamente siempre velarían por el bienestar de su “aliado”, sin embargo es importante resaltar que no es un solo país que lucha contra el virus sino la humanidad entera y no somos capaces de unirnos y luchar como especie contra nuestro enemigo. El “hombre” aun ve más como un enemigo a alguien que no es de su raza o que no comparte su ideología política antes que una enfermedad lo cual es algo que puede diezmar a la población mundial junto a su economía, lo cual puede producir otro tipo de catástrofes como hambruna desabastecimiento alimenticio e incluso de otros productos de primera necesidad.
We have seen how this enemy of humanity has exposed many leaders and alliances between nations that are supposed to always look after the welfare of their "ally", however it is important to emphasize that it is not just one country that is fighting the virus but the whole of humanity and we are not capable of uniting and fighting as a species against our enemy. The "man" even sees as an enemy someone who is not of his race or who does not share his political ideology rather than a disease which is something that can decimate the world population along with its economy, which can produce other types of catastrophes such as famine, food shortages and even other basic products.
¿De verdad somos una especie tan inteligente?/ Are we really such an intelligent species?
Muchas personas alrededor del mundo están desamparadas por sus gobiernos sea de la ideología, raza, etnia que sea. El problema es que nuestra cultura hace que nos preocupemos solamente en nosotros y que los demás pasen solos sus penurias y esto es reforzado desde el político que con su discurso hace cada vez más énfasis en la división y los problemas que el otro bando ha hecho que en la solución misma. La competencia de una cura y la importancia del prestigio nacional vale más que las vidas en lugar de trabajar codo a codo en buscar la mejor manera de atacar no solo la cura sino todas la complicaciones sobretodo económicas que implica todo este largo tiempo en confinamiento, claro dentro de las organizaciones sacan las cuentas de las posibles ganancias que implicaría vender la cura, tal vez es esto último lo que nos puede garantizar que pronto tendremos una vacuna, nuestro propio egoísmo.
Many people around the world are helpless because of their governments, regardless of ideology, race, or ethnicity. The problem is that our culture makes us worry only about ourselves and that the others spend their hardships alone and this is reinforced from the politician who with his speech makes more and more emphasis on the division and the problems that the other side has made than on the solution itself. The competition of a cure and the importance of national prestige is worth more than lives instead of working side by side in the search for the best way to attack not only the cure but all the complications, especially economic ones, that all this long time in confinement implies. Of course, within the organizations they take into account the possible profits that selling the cure would imply, perhaps it is this last one that can guarantee us that we will soon have a vaccine, our own selfishness.
Es importante reflexionar sobre que como especie nos dedicamos a inventar y diseñar cada vez mejores armas para acabar con otros humanos y para destruir ciudades enteras, incluso países. Estamos preparados para acabar con nuestro enemigo ideológico pero no estuvimos preparados contra un verdadero enemigo que no distingue el número de estrellas entre banderas.
It is important to reflect that as a species we are dedicated to inventing and designing ever better weapons to wipe out other humans and to destroy entire cities, even countries. We are prepared to finish with our ideological enemy but we were not prepared against a real enemy that does not distinguish the number of stars between flags.
Hoy dentro de todo el desastre que está viviendo el mundo tenemos la oportunidad de unirnos no bajo una sola bandera y unos cuantos colores, hoy nuestro bando no es contra nosotros mismos sino contra un virus, si lucháramos juntos nación con nación el desastre seria mucho menor e incontables vidas se salvarían.
Today within all the disaster that the world is experiencing we have the opportunity to unite not under one flag and a few colors, today our side is not against ourselves but against a virus, if we fought together nation by nation the disaster would be much smaller and countless lives would be saved.
En conclusión nuestra especie sigue luchando una batalla hoy pero seria un error pensar que solo vamos a enfrentar este virus en nuestra historia y si no hacemos algo con nuestro egoísmo en el futuro las batallas puede ser más difíciles con otras enfermedades, desastres naturales, cambio climático. Sería fatal no aprender de esta lección y algo que nos puede alcanzar a nosotros mismos en un futuro o a nuestros hijos.
In conclusion our species is still fighting a battle today but it would be a mistake to think that we will only face this virus in our history and if we do not do something about our selfishness in the future the battles may be more difficult with other diseases, natural disasters, climate change. It would be fatal not to learn from this lesson and something that can reach us in the future or our children.
Empecemos el cambio por nosotros/ Let's start the change for us
A veces pensamos que nosotros no tenemos voto ni decisión en lo que pasa en las altas cúpulas del liderazgo mundial, sin embargo es necesario dejar el egoísmo dentro de nosotros y enseñar a nuestros hijos a valorar a cada persona, que somos una sola especie y que podemos luchar juntos, que nuestra bandera y nuestro escudo no tiene fronteras, somos un solo equipo.
Sometimes we think that we do not have a vote or a decision in what happens in the high domes of world leadership, however it is necessary to leave selfishness within us and teach our children to value each person, that we are one species and that we can fight together, that our flag and our shield have no borders, we are one team.
