Phase 2 starts tomorrow. Are you ready?

It's like we're in a movie, a movie three months long now. Tomorrow the sequel will be released in theaters. The first film ended with an open ending.

A seemingly harmless virus had wiped out hundreds of thousands of lives. Its contagiousness was so high that the whole world had to resort to quarantine to stop it. There was no cure. Only isolation and so-called "social distancing" could guarantee a lesser impact of the catastrophe. The world's most advanced societies had been paralyzed. Governments around the world in crisis. Some denied, others alarmed, others spoke little, still others spoke too much. We had left ourselves with a virus almost under control but ready to strike and with hordes of surviving zombies calling for reopening and so the world had invented phase 2.

Few people knew what it was, even fewer understood it. What was certain was that the people of the North needed to work, to run again, to pollute the skies again.

Either you die of viruses or you starve to death.

That was the subtitle of the sequel. In the trailer you will have seen so many different people talking like that.

The whole world is waiting for this movie. Will it be as successful with the public and critics as the first one? There's no shortage of elements:

It will be a choral film with few absolute protagonists. It promises to be another open ending. In fact, a phase 3 has already been ordered which should conclude the trilogy. It will be released in cinemas in September. Delays permitting...

Domani parte la fase 2. Siete pronti?

Sembra di essere in un film, un film lungo 3 mesi oramai. Domani uscirà nelle sale il sequel. Il primo film si era concluso con un finale aperto.

Un virus apparentemente innocuo aveva spazzato via centinaia di migliaia di vite. La sua contagiosità era talmente alta che tutto il mondo aveva dovuto ricorrere alla quarantena per fermarlo. Non esisteva una cura. Solo l'isolamento ed il cosiddetto "distanziamento sociale" potevano garantire un impatto minore della catastrofe. Le società più avanzate del mondo erano state paralizzate. Governi di tutto il mondo in crisi. Qualcuno negava, altri allarmavano, altri parlavano poco, altri ancora parlavano troppo. Ci eravamo lasciati con un virus quasi sotto controllo ma pronto a colpire e con le orde di zombie sopravvissuti che invocavano la riapertura e cosi il mondo si era inventato la fase 2.

In cosa consistesse lo sapevano in pochi, lo capivano ancora meno. Quel che era certo è che il popolo del Nord aveva bisogno di lavorare, di tornare a correre, di tornare ad inquinare i cieli.

O si muore di virus o si muore di fame.

Era questo il sottotitolo del sequel. Nel trailer avrete visto tante persone diverse parlare cosi.

Tutto il mondo attende questo film. Sarà un successo di pubblico e critica come il primo? Gli elementi non mancano:
