Ну що ж, настав час розповісти вам про скульптурку у якої за весь період її існування трапилось досить багато пригод та переїздів. Всі інші скульптури світу певно в якійсь мірі заздрять їй, адже не кожен пам’ятник може похвалитись таким життям!

Well, it's time to tell you about the sculpture which has had a lot of adventures and relocations during the whole period of its existence. All the other sculptures in the world will probably envy her to some extent because not every monument can boast of such a life!

Хто такий Ференц Ліст? / Who is Ferenc Liszt?

Ференц Ліст - видатний угорський композитор автор численних органних та творів хорової, вокальної і симфонічної музики. Народився 22 жовтня 1811 року в селищі Доборьян, біля міста Шопрон в Угорщині, а помер 31 липня 1886 року в Німеччині. За 60 років наполегливої праці Ліст створив понад 1300 творів, якими сьогодні захоплюються не тільки поціновувачі класичної музики, а і пересічні меломани.

Ferenc Liszt is an outstanding Hungarian composer, author of numerous organ and works of choral, vocal and symphonic music. He was born on October 22, 1811, in the village of Doborian, near the town of Sopron in Hungary, and died on July 31, 1886, in Germany. Over 60 years of hard work, Liszt has created more than 1,300 works, which today are admired not only by connoisseurs of classical music but also by ordinary music lovers.

Він став першим піаністом, котрий почав давати сольні концерти та збирати повні зали глядачів, а також отримав визнання не тільки публіки, а і професіоналів того часу. Незважаючи на те, що записів гри Ференца нема, можна впевнено сказати, що він заслужено отримав звання одного із найвпливовіших піаністів своєї епохи у якого кожен виступ викликав неймовірний фурор.

He became the first pianist to give solo concerts and gather full audiences and was recognized not only by the public but also by professionals of the time. Despite the fact that there are no recordings of Ferenc's playing, it is safe to say that he deservedly received the title of one of the most influential pianists of his era, in which each performance caused an incredible sensation.

Ще одним підтвердженням цього також стала цікава історія пов’язана з іншим видатним піаністом та композитором. Прізвище його Бетховен, котрий після одного із концертів Ліста підійшов та поцілував талановитого юнака в знак свого захоплення. Цю історію Ференц із гордістю згадував все життя.

Another proof of this was an interesting story related to another outstanding pianist and composer. His last name is Beethoven, who after one of Liszt's concerts approached and kissed the talented young man as a sign of his admiration. Ferenc remembered this story with pride all his life.

Також Ліст був відомим благодійником. Він надавав допомогу постраждалим від стихійних лих, сиротам, особисто безкоштовно навчав багатьох талановитих студентів та пожертвував значні кошти на відкриття консерваторії в Будапешті. Liszt was also a well-known philanthropist. He helped disaster victims, orphans, personally taught many talented students free of charge and donated considerable funds to the opening of a conservatory in Budapest. Чому скульптура знаходиться в Ужгороді? / Why is the sculpture located in Uzhgorod?

Ференц Ліст часто подорожував Європою, не оминаючи Закарпаття, де не раз гостював у свого друга графа Плотені. До речі, граф був видатним скрипалем 19 століття та проживав разом із своєю сім'єю в селі Великі Лази, котре знаходиться всього в 13 кілометрах від Ужгороду. Тому чисто теоретично можна здогадатись, що сам Ліст відвідував і Ужгород, адже був зовсім поряд.

Ferenc Liszt often travelled in Europe, not bypassing Transcarpathia, where he repeatedly visited his friend Count Ploteni. By the way, the count was a prominent violinist of the 19th century and lived with his family in the village of Veliki Lazy, which is only 13 kilometres from Uzhgorod. Therefore, purely theoretically, we can guess that Liszt himself visited Uzhhorod because he was very close.

Також, відкриттю бронзової скульптури передувала також відлита фігурка із шоколаду, котру в 2001 році (проголошений роком Ференца Ліста) подарували Генеральному консульству Угорщини в Ужгороді.

Also, the opening of the bronze sculpture was preceded by a cast chocolate figurine, which in 2001 (proclaimed the year of Ferenc Liszt) was presented to the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod.

Яка історія в скульптури? / What is the history of sculpture?

Міні скульптура Ліста з'явилась на Ботанічній набережній напроти місцевої філармонії ще 2012 року. Проте, під час чергової сильної грози вітер привів до поломки великової каштанової гілки, котра впала на трубу де "сидів" маленький Ференц. Труба розкололась на декілька частин, скульптура зникла, проте згодом її знайшли та повернули на звичне місце.

A mini sculpture of Liszt appeared on the Botanical Embankment opposite the Philharmonic in 2012. However, during another strong thunderstorm, the wind broke a large chestnut branch, which fell on the pipe where little Ferenc was "sitting". The pipe split into several parts, the sculpture disappeared but was later found and returned to its usual place.

Взимку 2013 року скульптура знов магічним чином зникла із звичного місця проживання, але через декілька днів її знайшли на березі річки та встановили напроти філармонії вже в іншому місці. Там вона спокійно прожила чотири року після чого в січні 2017 її хтось поцупив, що і стало причиною кардинально змінити зовнішній вигляд та місце свого знаходження.

In the winter of 2013, the sculpture again magically disappeared from its usual place of residence, but a few days later it was found on the river bank and installed in front of the Philharmonic in another place. She lived there quietly for four years, after which in January 2017 someone stole her, which was the reason for a radical change in appearance and location.

На сьогоднішній день скульптура встановлена на перехресті вулиць Довженка, Фединця та площі Жупанатської. Орієнтуватись потрібно по скверику-альпінарію, котрий в народі назвали Цаплею.

Today the sculpture is installed at the intersection of Dovzhenko, Fedintsa and Zhupanatska streets. It is necessary to be guided by the garden-rock garden which in the people called the Heron.

До речі, ви можете побачити маленького Ліста не тільки в Ужгороді! 5 квітня 2018 року скульптура-близнюк почала прикрашати міжнародний аеропорт імені Ференца Ліста в угорській столиці - Будапешті. Тому, коли відмінять карантин та відновлять польоти в Європу не забудьте сфотографуватись біля нього чекаючи на свій рейс :)

By the way, you can see the little Leaf not only in Uzhgorod! On April 5, 2018, the twin sculpture began to adorn the Ferenc Liszt International Airport in the Hungarian capital - Budapest. Therefore, when the quarantine is cancelled and flights to Europe are resumed, don't forget to take a photo near it while waiting for your flight :)

А я вже подумую над поїздкою до угорської столиці, щоб сфотографувати міні скульптури Михайла Колодко в Будапешті. Виявилось, що їх там вже достатньо назбиралось!
