It has been a slow week on the content front from myself, with a set of tits being the 'best' / most engaging contribution thus far. I do have a couple of things to talk about though, and I'm shoehorning those into a post submitted from the https://leofinance.io/ front-end.

Valencia, March 2019

leofinance witness

During the recent Steem saga, I like many stacked my witness votes on the 'old' top twenty and since then, haven't spent much thought or time in re-evaluating my witness votes for Hive. One change I have made today though is to support the leofinance witness which have been up and running a couple of weeks now.

I don't think many are unaware that as far as the Hive-engine / Tribe apps go, leofinance are arguably making the biggest waves. https://hivestats.io/ has arrived at a good time, an impressive 90% of LEO is staked, and advertising revenue is rising sharply month on month.

In the past I seem to remember hearing that Steemit inc wanted steemit.com to be the 'homepage for crypto'. Well, that is now very unlikely to happen and I think https://leofinance.io/, built on Hive, is currently in the driving seat here. Good luck!

@misterengagement

Has been back up a few weeks now and is distributing ENGAGE thanks to kind stakeholders doing the rounds. I've been trailing the @misterengagement vote with my Tribe alts for a week or so and the other day decided to follow with my main account too.

From an ROI perspective, I'm told this is not a good idea. In the short term, perhaps not, but if this encourages more commentary and makes Hive look busier/buzzier, my hope that is that the dividends will come further down the road.

If you do not have 1001 ENGAGE but would like to be able to distribute them, I will (depending on your engagement stats) send up to 3 accounts enough to get started. Let me know in the comments.

I was wondering if you could......

  • Get me some details on witness votes

  • Provide me with some data on power-ups

  • Check my account looks OK (It didn't, the withdrawal route on Steem was set to a scammer)

And the answer is, 'yes, I like to help!'. This week, like many, I've had various data requests come through via Discord, and want to state that if I can help, I will.

The subscription to HiveSQL isn't cheap, and these ad hoc tasks make me feel like I'm getting more value out of the service. These tasks also make me feel like I'm contributing on the days I do not post or engage on chain very much, and so if you have a data related question you think I could help with, ask!

HIVE Power up

I spoke to a fairly well known account recently in regards to their STEEM power-down and move over to Hive as it seemed they were not 'all-in' with the switch.

I think it's fair to say I had my faith shaken in DPOS

I always imagined my powered up stake in STEEM was 100% safe

Whilst I understand their concerns regarding Steem and think investing in SP is verging on dangerous and unethical, my views are different for Hive. Hive feels more like 'our' project, and with that comes more motivation to make it work. There is also the motivation for fucking getting one over Justin Sun, which I don't think can be underestimated.

Anyway, I'm hopeful and like a gamble, and so last night I powered up 10,000 HIVE to bring my total Hive Power to a nice round 100,198.068. It's crazy to think that I had around 12,000 SP this time last year, and that my Hive account is now ranked (according to HiveSQL) 176th largest.

I'll end this post with a quote from leofinance boss @khaleelkazi:

There are no other crypto platforms that provide as much utility while simultaneously providing as much versatility and community as Hive. It’s a truly unique platform to build on — whether you’re a content creator, a business owner, a community operator, an investor, etc. source

Bullish :)

Enjoy the weekend,

Asher
