Lately, I've been really busy with life stuff and it has prevented me from participating on Hive to my true capacity. Actually, I've been busy for quite a while now because I've had to sort out money, which means I have to trade and that's something I frankly don't like doing.

This has got me thinking about getting a fiat paying job to fill the gap but I always end up where I started because most of the offerings in Nigeria aren't worth the pay. So I end up back at where I started, which is getting paid with crypto that I really hate selling.

With that said, I'm still grateful for the hand I was dealt and appreciate the opportunity to work in this industry. I think the real issue I'm contending with now is the frequency of my sales of digital assets to sort out my needs.

New house needs some money

So I talked about how we're planning to relocate to an $800 house sometime last week, well we got the house and have sorted out the preliminary cleanups, so it's time to move in.

Getting the house painted and the clean-up pushed us back by $90 and then we also had to buy curtains for the living room, which cost another $90. This might not seem like much in the general scheme of things but it is burning a hole in our pocket because it means we have to pretty much eat up our entire profit just to make it work.

Again, I'm grateful that it is only our profit that we ever consume but it's not an ideal situation. Every time I spend crypto, I always see it as money that could have been invested and so, selling it means I'm missing out on more profit that could have been reinvested.

These things happen though, and so we just have to move forward with the relocating plans. The next stage will be to get the movers that will convey our stuff from this house to the next house and that will push us back around $40.

Once all the moving is done, we'll settle into the house and then start fixing it up from within. This means that we won't have to sell off all our profit anymore, and we can now focus our energy on growing our portfolio.

Making it work

At the end of the day, it all about making the best decision for ourselves and of course our finances. So considering how difficult it is to find a decent Naira paying job, we might as well create one with some of our profit from crypto work.

This one is a very scary venture for me because I've failed in a business in the past. However, we've been discussing different ideas for businesses we could bring to life around here.

If we could actually establish a business outside of crypto, it will lead to a dramatic improvement in our stakes in various platforms. Until then though, we'll have to manage what we have and balance it up with our life needs. It's like a job inside a job, draining sometimes but absolutely worth all the stress.
