Are you buying DEC?

Splinterlands is one of my favourite projects around and judging by how well they've done so far, it is only natural that they'd get a lot of attention around the chain. Virtually everyone around here has fucked with or currently fucks with the game and that right there highlights how massive the game is in general.

I got into it sometimes in Novermber last year but only became active around March of this year, when I won a voucher for those summoner thingies. Once I got into the game, I realised how massive it is and started doing the most to get ahead, which basically means buying up as much DEC as I can.

So, I developed a very simple trade strategy based on the game that I like to think has been successful for me, although I might be wrong. The idea is actually based on the price designated to buying untamed packs and potions; in the game, 2000DEC represents $2 or one untamed pack, so if I can get DEC at a lower value, then I count it as a success.

This was my initial strategy anyways, and a strategy that I think has worked for me for two reasons;

I trade in small volumes
I buy Untamed packs with most of my DEC.

Outside my simplistic trade strategy, I like to keep up with the buzz surrounding Splinterlands, because as much as i buy untamed packs, I also like to Hodl a fair amount in Hive-engine or Leo Dex. I simply can't hold anything in-game because almost always buy untamed packs with the whole damn thing, but I digress.

In recent times, the founders have been holding weekly AMAs with the community where they talk about progress and other issues surrounding the game. Last week's episode had some interesting points, with one of them being the potential of a listing in a major exchange.

Now I'm no trade expert but I reckon that's a decent indicator to buy some DEC and participate. Then again, it could also just be that in reality, the founders are just trying to push the agenda with the hope that simpletons like me take the bait and buy more DEC than ever before.

FOr what it's worth, it makes no difference whether they list externally or not, I was always going to buy anyway because of my untamed packs addiction. My goal is to max out a couple of my untamed summoners and this low value of DEC is a sweet opportunity for me to do it.
