We're exactly one week away from Christmas and lots of festivities are on the horizon. It's also the season of cheerful giving, so I figured I'd round up some thoughtful crypto gifts you could share with your loved ones.

Oh how I love Christmas, it's such an amazing time of the year. Everyone is always giddy and people just want to have fun.

In the spirit of Christmas, perhaps you could consider doing something in the yuletide theme for the family?

I think NFTs are awesome and their utility goes above and beyond borders. They find application in many ways and are awesome as gifts.

If you're from one of those families that have an end-of-year reunion, then you can use this as an opportunity to onboard family members.

Christmas themed NFT

There are numerous NFT projects out there with premium jpegs. Now your family members may not quite understand it but how about you just buy them one nice Christmas-themed NFT?

For example, in the Hive punk collection, there are some that wear that Santa clause cap. I've also seen something like that in the bored ape collection as well.

It's just a gesture that they may not understand but at least they'll have to create a crypto wallet to receive the NFT.

Show love with Hive

A hive account is going to be a hot cake in the near future. Some of your family members may be on hive but for the others that aren't, here's an opportunity for them to be part of something big.

You can surreptitiously throw it into the conversation or just straight up drop it. In any case, getting them a Hive account is a pretty awesome gesture.

You don't even have to stress them about publishing or anything. They could just post pictures from the family gathering, and earn from there. That ought to spark their interest.

Any Splinterlands asset is a nice gesture

Earlier this year, I took it upon myself to onboard all my friends into Splinterlands. @elemi, @moquero, and @drexx-dmitri all indicated interest, so I bought a summoner spellbook for each of them.

On top of that, I extended it to my friends on Hive and people that participated in a simple challenge I organised on Hive. At the end of the day, I was able to gift a spellbook to a decent number of people.

In the spirit of Christmas, I think you can also gift your family members a summoner spellbook. Tell them it's a fun game and don't even bother telling them about the DEC earnings and whatnot.

You can also send or delegate some nice monsters to ease their journey through the Splinterlands. It can be stressful but with the right support, your experience will be made a lot better.

Crypto gifts are awesome

Last and certainly not least, you can just gift your loved ones with crypto. Send them crypto that's easy to use and something with zero fees.

Hive ticks the box but I'm sure there are other cryptocurrencies in blockchains with fast and feeless transactions. Oh yeah, something like Vite I guess.

In any case, ensure it's a cryptocurrency that doesn't require too much technical know-how. Let it be something that they can easily spend or sell in any popular exchange.

In the process, you could even teach your family members a thing or two about trading. It will be a Christmas gift that will last for a long time and will open up a new way to earn passively or actively through trading.
