The underlying technology might be older but technically speaking, Hive blockchain is only slightly over a year old. In that period, Hive has evolved into one of the most consistent projects in the crypto space and there's still quite a lot of room to grow.

The recent pump in Shiba took the world by surprise and overnight, millionaires were created out of nowhere. Congrats to all the new millionaires and everyone that profited from the pump but deep down, everyone knows there's something unnatural and unsustainable about it.

I'm not one to shit on someone else's source of income, so this post isn't about talking about whatever might or might not be wrong with Shiba Inu Project. Instead, I'll be redirecting my energy to talk about all the great things that are on hive.

So many gems to pick from

I know the crypto market only goes where the money resides and that's not going to change any time soon because many people are out for a quick buck. I can't blame them and frankly speaking, I'd be glad if my bags pumped by a gazillion percent too.

Hive is a lot different from many other blockchain projects because of how sustainable it tends to be. In my opinion, Hive should be holding its own in the top 20 assets but the market hasn't caught up to its awesomeness and as I said, we're also kind of young.

Anyway, one of the beautiful things about hive is that there are so many ways to benefit from the chain. Interestingly, all of them tend to absorb that underlying sustainable characteristic of the chain that makes it home to many projects that are rewarding investors.

Play to earn

As I said, Hive offers multiple options to earn from your investment and time. These days, a lot of value has been coming from play to earn opportunities in the community.

Out of the lot, Splinterlands has been the highest-grossing but there are actually others that are also rewarding players and investors. Some notable names include;

  • Dcrops
  • Dcity
  • Rabona
  • Exode

The point is, there are many options out there to earn from gaming on Hive. I can't speak for all of them but if you look around the community, you'll hear testimonies from different people playing these games.

For example, I heard of exode from @taskmaster5540, @trumpman is my Dcity president and there are many Dcrop players in the Hive Naija community, so just head on over there for more information.

I have been playing SPlinterlands for the best part of the last two years. In that period, I have consistently dedicated time and effort to the game and I'm pleased to say that it's currently paying the bills and a lot more.

During my time on the game, I've experienced immense growth that might not be in the same category with the Shiba pump but hell, thanks to the game, I turned a few hundred dollars into a portfolio worth over $20k and counting.

Blog/Share to earn

Perhaps you don't like playing games and would rather just blog or share content on the various social media front-ends that are on Hive. Well, you can do that too if that's your preference.

I know people like @acesontop, myself, and many others in different parts of the World that earn from sharing content and yes, it pays the bills. Again, we've not gotten the monumental Shiba level pump on hive but when it inevitably happens, wouldn't you want to earn a few thousand or million dollars from just sharing content on a social network?

Stake/Save to earn

So let's say you're not interested in going through the stress of publishing content or playing blockchain games, you could just stake tokens and earn from it.

There are quite a number of lucrative staking opportunities on Hive and all you have to do is use the feeless network to invest your funds in a platform that's shown a high level of consistency.

If you want to earn from directly staking in a liquidity pool, then just head over to the Tribal Dex to earn from adding liquidity to various pools.

Also, you can just decide to stake hive and other tokens on hive-engine and then use them for curation(liking posts). Every time you like a post, you're supporting/rewarding the author and you're also rewarding yourself.

Perhaps that might be too complicated for you, and you'd prefer something less hands-on. Well, there are options like Bro tokens, Cub life, LBI tokens, and much more that you can find on hive-engine to hold and earn dividends.

You can also save HBD(Hive stable coin) on Hive for 10% APR, which is the highest percentage for staking a stable coin I have ever seen.

Finally, you can also get involved in the staking side of Splinterlands without actually playing the game. Yup, the game also has a staking option for SPS tokens; staking SPS makes you eligible for voucher tokens that you can either sell or use to mint Chaos Legion Packs with awesome NFTs inside them.

You can do everything

Why do just one thing when you can do everything? The beauty of Hive is that with just one account, you have access to every single thing I mentioned above and you can do it effortlessly, fast, and at a low transaction cost.

Hive gives you the flexibility that many other projects can't offer and if you click around, you could find yourself earning on multiple fronts that mutually service each other.

So yeah, Hive hasn't gone on its own Shiba type pump yet but there's a lot of value in the system and if you put it all together, you could actually be pulling out huge and sustainable profit from your investments that will keep you busy enough to not to even bother checking the charts to see how much you COULD have made IF you bought Shiba.
