Yesterday I asked @leomarkettalk the simplest way to explain decentralized finance to a noob who is apparently interested in crypto.

I got good answers and wonderful recommendations.

This then made me do more research on the whole concept of DEFI and also I had to read a few white papers.

I read about Cub, cake, goose finance, Autofarms and Uniswap.

What are my thoughts on the #cub roadmap?

For starters, I have a huge fraction of my money in cub. Although, it might be small to some people but in terms of percentage, its a great fraction, say 30%.

So yes, I am a huge fan of the leofinance community. a screen shot of my stake in cub, I wanted to stop at 500 but here I am at 600LP

After reading the road map, the features and every other thing on the website , there were things I felt should have been done.

1. Its is not simple to understand for newbies.

When I read it, I felt that giving it to someone who was new in crypto would raise more confusion for the person as it contains some technical terms that not every one understands. I know most of the terms but can new people relate to the article? Can investors who don't do crypto understand it easily? I really do not think so.

2. I think the use case of cub should be outlined:

Outlining things make reading easier. I read the whole article and could not make out what cub is here to do as a token in a single read.

I had to go back and read it again before I could outline some of the use case.

When I read the pancake swap article it was outlined and there were bullet points.

3. I think the article was focused more on leofinance than cub as a token.

Well for the most time, I thought I was reading about leofinance. We all know leofinance is great but I think the roadmap should focus more on cub.(This is from my own perspective)

I know talking about the community is important but the cub token has to be put first.

4. The pictorial representation in the tokenomics section is not so simplified

Like I said, its not about me, its about the new people who have the funds but don't understand the terms. The pictorial representations could be a little simplified. This will make interpreting and understanding easier.

Why do I like cub?

The first reason, is that cub has proven to be safe over the last couple of months.

There has not been any rugpull so far.

The certik audit is one reassuring selling point.

The team has been doing a lot as regards advancement in the project.

They are open to change.

Moving from the goose finance model to autofarm is one great concept.

The bridge is also a great addition as Ethereum fees are crazy whether congestion or not.

Are we there yet?

From what I read I feel we have a very long way to go and this goes to say that there is a lot to do.

I feel the marketing is not really good, I just discovered that the leofinance community was on Reddit today.

At the time of posting the community has 470 members when the leofinance community is said to have about 1000 Active Monthly Users(AMU is one of the terms I found on the road map that made me check google).

This is not enough as a lot of people don't know about cub on other platforms.

So I think the marketing should be done on another level.

Youtube awareness is great already, twitter is also great but the tweets are not leading to clicks or conversion.

I went on coin market cap and discovered that most of the top Cryptos have a short write up about them but cub doesn't have any and I think this is something we need to look at

I also think there is need for a restructuring as regards the whitepaper.

I feel it should contain what an investor will benefit more than the actual product.

I think it should also address their fears and their worries as regards the online world and defi in general.

Cub has some thing that most successful Defi platforms have?

When you look at CAKE and UNI, asides from having a structure and a useccase , they have a community.

This is where I say that cub to me beats them all.

Community is what I think will make cub stand the test of time and I feel we all have a role to play in growing this community and making this community known.

Also, cub has a face to it and also reputation and that is one of the few reasons why I invest in cub.

Do I think cub is a good investment?

Yes but it needs a lot of marketing and investors.

We know the project is good but we need the investors to know how they can benefit from the project in simple words.

Word of advice

Defi is a new space and has gone through different hurdles and losses.

Cub is a new project and it is only advisable to do your own research.

If I were to allocate my funds, I will allocate the portion for moderate risk investments

I guess that's all.

I am still buying cub anyways.

Just my thoughts.

Thank you for reading.
