So yesterday I was so excited to see that Hive had pumped 400%. It felt like something completely new to me. Here I was on the right side of a huge pump with some liquid crypto lying around to take take profits for the first time every.

I have never sold any crypto and hadn't made any trades since I sold $4000 of btc for steem. With that move I managed to turn $4000 into less than $1000 and a solid plan to keep posting until I rescued my money lol.

It wasn't a bad plan because instead of being down around 90% I managed to hover around 45% losses due to my daily posting . I think it would have paid off we hadn't run into to the buzz saw of Justin Sun.

But at least we got Hive going and all got our equal amount of Hive. So when the pump happened I quickly learned to sell Hive on Bittrex and pulled the trigger. I lost out on today's better price but I'm ok with that.

I took profit for the first time in my life and it equaled exactly .2 btc and I still have about 4800 Hive to hold.

My plan when I started doubting steem last June was to keep all my earnings liquid to sell that liquid steem for btc when the time was right. I wanted to diversify and hold a little btc and yesterday's pump gave me that opportunity.

I always see folks saying after a big crypto pump "I hope everyone took some profit" and I never have. I have also never seen a 400% pump that didn't correct. Hive is definitely new territory and nobody knows how high it will go but I think it will come back down to earth.

It is a great blockchain with great leadership. It has the aptitude to be a great community as well but that is a long way off. Because of this I felt like rolling the dice and profiting from my hard work on steemit by dumping a little Hive.

Honestly, I wish it was steem that pumped so I could have dumped that but I took the opportunity that was before me.

I really would love to hear your thoughts in the comments on what I did. Was it too early? Did I do it right? And, what do you think about the price of Hive right now and in the very near future
