I am working my way to my first Troy ounce (31.1 grams) of Gold. Weighing in at 3.1 grams, this 1/10 Troy ounce American Gold Eagle, she moves the scale and goal, to just under a quarter Troy ounce or 7.6 grams. The fair & honest Local Coin Shop Dealer is sometimes flexible but is firm on his Gold price. He let this Proof American Gold Eagle go for $200 even. It was his last one. Just a few months ago, he had many of these beauties, for around $150, each. Generally, unless numismatic, tougher date, slabbed, etc... he sells all gold bullion coins for the same price. If this common Gold coin had been graded, displayed in an NGC or PCGS Certified slab, it would have been the same price. As for the copper USA cent/penny, used for size comparison, easily found in change, it has almost two cents worth of copper metal content, but that's another story. Save them if you get them. Thanks for your interest and keep on stacking.
