It pays to be consistent ๐Ÿค‘

You may have noticed that your feed has less new content on it than it did earlier this year. It's easy for me to notice this when I continue to vote for other people's content like usual and look at my voting percentage at the end of the day and realize it is way higher than it normally is. Typically I let it drop all of the ways down to 75% so that I can vote for a variety of people at noticeable levels.

During times when many users stop posting, my vote percentage hovers around 85-90% with normal voting habits. The way I counteract voting less is by voting in higher percentages towards the people who are still creating despite there being less value in the rewards during that time. This means that the users still here are actually earning more than they normally would in terms of total HIVE, although it is valued lesser than usual in terms of the dollar.

This is due to the fact that many users stop logging into their Hive accounts regularly when the prices of cryptocurrencies go down drastically. All of a sudden rewards are a very small portion of what they used to be, so why bother? I think you will understand why after you finish reading this blog.

Vanishing during times like these is one of the worst decisions that you can make. It makes zero sense to go away right when there are fewer people to compete with for attention. This goes hand in hand with total rewards as well. The dollar value of your rewards may be significantly less, but the total amount of HIVE/HBD that you earn may actually be more. If you are patient for the prices to rise once again, you will realize that rewards during bear markets are actually larger than during a bull run. Although it may take longer to see fruition, trust me when I say I've increased my HP the most during bear markets.

Rewards are not the only reason to show up day in and out. Of course, it is nice to see some crypto appear in your wallet 7 days after you did a little something to earn it. Don't let rewards be the only thing that keeps you around though. There are many different reasons why being consistent will benefit you.

Consistency can give you an advantage over people who often disappear in a number of ways. Here are a few examples:

  1. Reliability: By consistently showing up and following through on your commitments, you establish yourself as a reliable and dependable person. This can make others more likely to trust and rely on you, which can be beneficial in a variety of situations.

  2. Trust: Consistency helps build trust with others. If you are consistently present and available, people will come to rely on you and trust that you will be there for them when they need you.

  3. Reputation: Consistency can also help you build a good reputation, which can be valuable in many different contexts. For example, if you are consistently reliable and dependable at work, you may be more likely to get promotions or other opportunities as a result.

  4. Professionalism: Consistency can also help you project a sense of professionalism. By showing up consistently and following through on your commitments, you demonstrate to others that you are serious about your work and that you can be counted on to deliver.

Overall, being consistent can give you an advantage over people who often disappear by making you more reliable, trustworthy, and professional, which can be beneficial in many different situations.

The next time that you think about taking a few months off of Hive since you aren't earning that much, ask yourself if you think you'll regret that decision the next time the price pumps. I always see people wishing they had more HIVE when it is valued at high prices. Push yourself to be here no matter what and you will never have to worry about missing out on a big opportunity.
