Hive has been listed on some great exchanges now and there is a nice volume happening. Binance, Bittrex and Huobi as the largest ones.

Here we will be looking at the transfers to and from exchanges for June 2020.

In the past there were estimates that Steemit Inc was transferring 500k to 1M tokens to exchanges each month for covering expenses.

Now we don’t have a central entity that develops the chain. Lets see how things are doing for June 2020.

Here we will be looking at the following:

• Daily transfers to exchanges
• Top accounts that deposited to exchanges
• Daily withdrawals from exchanges
• Top accounts that withdraw from exchanges
• Net deposits/withdrawals

Exchanges taken in the analysis: Binance, Huobi, Bittrex, Upbit, Ionomy and MXC. There are few more exchanges but the volume there is quite low.

Note: HBD transfers are converted to HIVE for simplicity.

Daily transfers to exchanges

Here is the chart for the daily transfers to exchanges.

I have made a breakdown between the exchanges to exchanges transfers and a regular user account to exchange transfers.
As we can see the exchange to exchange transfers are dominant here, with around 80% share of the transfers. A total of 43.5M deposits into exchanges accounts happened, out of which 34.7M was exchanges transferring between each other, and 8.8M users account transfer to exchanges.
Average daily transfers 1.5M in total and 0.3M from user accounts to exchanges.

Top accounts that deposited to exchanges

Who has transferred the most funds to exchanges? Here is the chart.

Note: Exchange to exchange transfers are excluded. Those are usually the largest transfers.

Not taking into account exchange to exchange transfers, @michael-b is on the top with more than 700k transferred to exchanges, then comes @coldbrewpete and @neoxag.

Daily withdrawals from exchanges

What about withdrawals from exchanges? How much is been withdrawn and by whom> Here is the chart for the daily withdrawals to exchanges.

As for the above, here as well a breakdown is made between the exchanges to exchanges transfers and a regular user account from exchanges transfers.

Here as well, as expected the transfers between exchanges account for the majority of the transfers.
A total of 46.9M withdrawn from exchanges, out of which 41.5M was exchanges transferring between each other, and 5.4M users account transfer to exchanges.
Average daily transfers 1.5M in total and 0.18M from user accounts to exchanges.

Who has withdrawn the most funds from exchanges? Here is the chart.

Note: Exchange to exchange transfers are excluded. Those are usually the largest transfers.

Not taking into account exchange to exchange transfers, @darthknight is on the top with around 390k HIVE withdrawn from exchanges, then comes @mydas and @america.

Net deposits/withdrawals

The net deposit/withdrawals char looks like this.

Note: Transfers between exchanges are excluded.

Positive bar means more funds are withdrawn from exchanges on that day, negative bar is more funds deposited to exchanges.

Not taking into account transfers between exchanges, we can see that most of the days more funds are transferred to exchanges then withdrawn.

Only 6 days out of the 30 are net positive for withdrawals. Although there are few more days that are just below zero. A total of 3.4M HIVE net transferred from Hive users accounts to exchanges.
