We interrupt our regularly scheduled post of either Japan photo or Japanese haiku to bring you a rambling update post. Yay!

ahem

It's been a while since I did a general post of links, updates, and other general stuff, so I figured it might be fun to do that. This today will have a heavy financial slant, so keep that in mind.

So... what's on my mind?

Xchaos

First up is XCHAOS. I got into this as soon as it started a week or so ago and haven't said much except for a brief post on my @dbooster.spt account. But I get the feeling that many of you haven't heard about it yet. Plus @ecoinstant just wrote a great post about it, which reminded me.

Really, go read his post. Because he explains it really well, as he always does.

To sum it up: Splinterlands has explored and is bringing in tons of people and money, not only to that game but to Hive in general. There is a new expansion set being released soon called Chaos Legion. Because of all the new people in the game, it was feared that all the packs would sell out so quickly that many would miss it. So they created a voucher system which limited the number of packs one could buy.

Good so far. But soon the voucher requirement will be removed and anyone can buy a pack. There is so much demand and so many newly crypto-wealthy people that many people are expecting the entire set to sell out almost instantly as soon as the voucher requirement is removed.

So how to get packs if you don't have vouchers and aren't a whale? Enter XCHAOS. Each token gets you one pack. In addition, there will be a daily payment of DEC from them selling Airdropped cards and distributing the payment to everyone.

The only catch here is that XCHAOS sells for $6 whereas packs will sell for $4. So if you want to buy in to this game, you need to ask yourself if you want to wait for $4 packs but risk them selling out before you can buy any, or do you want to pay a little extra to guarantee yourself a pack now.

The choice is yours. But I would recommend it. This game is booming. Looking at my spreadsheet, I get on average a little over $20 per day from the game. That is a combination of battle rewards (you win DEC for every battle you win), daily quests, rentals (you can rent out your cards), and the season reward divided out for per day (every fortnight you win cards based on how high you ranked for that season). Some days are as high as $60. I expect this to only increase.

Again, go read @ecoinstant's post

(And if you aren't on Splinterlands but want to be, here you go. Feel free to delete the "?ref=dbooster" from that if you don't want to give me credit for referring you.)

Beeswap Token

Next up, we have BXT, Beeswap Token.

If you don't know Beeswap, you should really be using it instead of Hive Engine. They only charge .25% to trade hive to swap.hive while HE charges 1%. That may not seem like a huge difference when you are just throwing in 1-2 hive at a time, but it adds up.

Anyway, Beeswap just introduced their own token, BXT. Anyone who stakes this token will get their cut of 50% of all fees generated by Beeswap.

I only have 9 BXT that I was airdropped, but am already earning .6 hive per day from them. More free money!

For those interested in diesel pools, many pools were recently added with very high APRs that pay BXT.

Noise.cash

This one is a fun project. If you like Twitter, but want to get paid for your Tweets, check out noise.cash. Every upvote you get on a tweet (or "noise" I suppose) gives you a penny or two of BCH (Bitcoin Cash). Sometimes up to 20 cents worth. It's mostly random the amount you get so it's hard to predict or to game.

Not much more than that. It is a Twitter clone that pays you in crypto. So far I've made about half a BCH from it (which is near $300). Now that's over a period of a few months, so it's not fast money, but it adds up.

If you are curious to try it, follow me there (at dbooster).

Twitter

Speaking of Twitter, I recently started a new profile there. I have another profile that has several thousand followers so it might make sense for me to continue using that, but I am moving away from it for a few reasons, not the least of which is most of my followers on my other account came from my Google+ days when I somehow found myself one of the popular users of the platform for awhile. That was long ago and I have the urge to start fresh. That might not be the smartest move, I don't know, but there we go.

I probably won't use this account much except to tweet out new posts, but it's there if you want to follow me on it.

Hmm maybe that's about all that's on my mind. A few extra miscellanea:

Three is probably enough. Don't want to overwhelm you.

That's about all for now. Peace out, all.
