Imagine when the first car was invented, in western society people must have been overwhelmed that they could make it from point a to point b without the efforts of a horse are whatever previously carried them. Well if you think it over you can see that bitcoin has carried us like a car leaving the old horse and carriage means of monetary systems behind. Will the old means of transactions still be around 5-10 years from now who knows but one thing is for sure as I always say "mass adoption is coming"! Not just with bitcoin but with all block-chain technology that is viable and has people value. Man is always tinkering with what he can find to make life easier it's just our human nature, an example is the discovery of fire sure at first we probably didn't know what it was but today fire is just like any other discovery that in surprise we have capitalized on. Look at gasoline before oil was used for things like petrol or kerosene there most likely ladies and gentlemen was no value in it until cars and lamps were invented.
