Many of you play DCity already. If you haven't, check out @dcitygame to learn more about this laid back game. I have a little town of under 300 people at the time of this writing. I haven't focused much on it until recently. By focus, I meant I spent a little more time than usual buying cards and rearranging things.

I treat DCity like a form of bonsai on Hive. It can get expensive and yield little to no returns if you are casual. At the same time, it's something to do with your HIVE and/or Hive Engine tokens. Most of all, it makes me spend time on Hive, doing something other than voting and reading.

Some token owners may see DCity as a mean to promote their tokens. But, let me tell you something. If your tribe/token has no utility to begin with, there's very little point in having it on DCity. It'd be another pump and dump asset.

Rewards

The top players in the game can get a lot of free goodies a day, but the returns can take a while. Depending on how much money you put in the game, plus your ranking, your return may never manifest. If there was a "pay to win" game, this is it.

I don't know which one takes longer. Is it @steembasicincome or @dcitygame?

My personal philosophy is that if you are playing a game for ROI, you are doing something wrong. You aren't enjoying yourself. It would be like comparing yourself to e-sport players. They are top players who sometimes make hundreds of thousands, even millions, a year.

More features to come?

You know what would be nice? Being able to have custom display names for your city. wink wink

Of course, that's only for display, not changing what the ids are on the chain.

Final thoughts

My verdict on this game? Don't play it for the ROI. You'll not have a good time unless you manage to get to the top.

On that note, what should I name my little town?
