Sometimes lucky

         Remember when Coinbase announced the Doge sweepstake at the beginning of June? Yeah, the one where the confirmation emails seemed to have trouble arriving in your inbox? Well, looks like we finally see the end of it.

         As luck would have it, I happened to have won $100. Unfortunately, I'm sure the taxman is going to take a huge chunk of it. At the same time, it's another $100 of capital to put into something else. Since it's Coinbase we are talking about, I headed over to the app to make sure the winnings were in my account.

         So, the money is already in my account...in Doge. All I had to do was converting those Doge into another asset. I decided to convert that $100 into ADA and further increase my stake.

         If my recollection is correct, Coinbase was handing out 6000 $100 prizes, 10 $10K prizes, and a grand prize of $300K. It makes you wonder who won that jackpot. Even if you pay maximum short-term capital gain tax in the US, it's still a nice payday.

         Anyways, sometimes lucky. I'll take what I can get.
