You couldn't be more correct. Here, I know poor people who have $50,000 of college debt and have fallen into default with their credit ruined. This hurts their job prospects as some businesses perform a credit check before offering a person a job. College needs to be free and paid for by the government (at least community college) with some of the money we pend bombing other countries. As President Eisenhower warned, the military industrial complex, eats up so much funding, that there is nothing left for the American people themselves.
